Its a closed raffle at the Autosport Awards Dinner
If this is true Phil, then it is a poor way to raise funds funds for the RB foundation. A better way would have been a raffle at the Autosport show in January, where a larger buying audience would be available. I'm quite sure if it was a raffle this way, then 20,000 tickets at £5 each could have been sold. I don't know how much the awards raffle made, but I'm sure it won't be as much as this.
The reason I know that a raffle like this works so well is proved every year when the RSOC raffles a mint RS vehicle at their National Day, and it always makes the club a tidy profit.
