Hubby has a Scooby, I have a Seat Leon Cupra R.....But.....

IHI is an old conversion now but it is still very effective and would seem safe on stnd internals so far. My clutch has started to slip and is being replaced next week. But it has done 10k standard, 10k chipped, 20k with ko3s and 25k on the ihi vf34 so a 65k total on a stock clutch and 5 years motoring. The new clutch supplied and fitted is £410 so its not to bad at all really. The game has to move on now as the vf34 at 340bhp is flat out this is the reason why i have a new spec turbo which i hope will get me around the 380-390bhp mark but retain good driveability. Having a lot of lag would make it a waste of time so my max aim is 390bhp. Subaru really need to be pushing the new sti's with PPP into the 340-360bhp area to match the Evo's etc and move the game on. I dont dislike any car but if you snooze you lose and a Sti with a PP pack kicking out 340-360bhp would do the marque wonders.

BUT, the conditions had to be right to benefit the Renault otherwise they could catch me back up, or I would start understeering etc...
It used to please me immensly to catch a Scoob as I viewed those as the 'yard stick' to measure my car against (things have not changed I see!).
When I decided to buy spmething more reliable I found all the 215bhp UK stuff to be slower that i expected and ended up with a Modded Type R. I now have around 400bhp more torque, minimal lag and can carry the whole family without worrying about reliability.
I call it progress myself.

Oh cause that'll be standard, won't it?
Either it was fairly heavily modded, or seriously stripped.. Or both?

I never said it was.. But you made out as though your's was, that's all.. A Nova can do a 11 sec 1/4, with the right mods, if you see my point..
So you managed a 13 sec 1/4 @ over 100 mph, with a car that weighs 1235kgs and has less than 220bhp...? Either there's something you're not telling us, or there was a catapult at the start line..
You got the slip to hand? Be interested to compare..

all this trying to compare a inferior seat to a website dedicated to scoobs!!! all the "my front wheel drive" is way quicker than yours!! my scooby sti type r will eat the lot of ya seats and esp rovers!!!!!! could be stage 10 tune with this and that added but it dont get traction your not going anywere fast and when you do the likes of me in type r are well gone!!!! face reality and brag on a forum dedicated to seats and rovers!! look under oap or flatcap sites??? or even sunday drivers?? grandad racers league??? eat some humble pie and except the scoob is better in std form or tuned like for like. SIMPLE EH. And when i mean that i mean a std type r or std lcr, ctr or grandad mg or modded of either ie you ad 100bhp scoob adds 100bhp. scoob is winner hands down.

could you please point out were i slated scoobies on this thread
i dont need to compare with scoobies you see i used to have one
i would say you show more traits of a little boy as you constantly feel the need to point out that your papap is faster than everyone elses and then spit your dummy out if anyone objects.
