Rep points earned in muppets should not count on the rest of SNet. Rep points should be gained for giving helpful information in the technical sections, NSR, etc. & for funny or amusing posts.

And how the hell did PSL get so many positives. You lot kiss *** big time.
Has anyone had a problem with bad reps from the Muppets? I for one have only ever given one bad rep, and that was to that most execrable of tossers, Exscooby. On the other hand, many, many NSRers and Generalers have been on the receiving end of my good rep as I hope some will testify. Like good manners on the road, good reps reinforce good forum behaviour and enhance the feelgood factor. Cast your bread upon the waters my friends, and you too can have as many blobs as your hearts desire.

On the other hand, this is a rep I got in NSR this morning.

Thanks to JTaylor- ... 28 November 2006 08:09 .. For being the biggest hypocrite on SN

Total horse**** as usual.
, grow up. It was a valid point, don't see why I should be shot down for it.

Anyway is was a grey one, so you haven't obviously been around for long enough to learn the difference between horse**** and fact

I received one bad rep so far - was it for calling someone a ****? was i abusive or an a***hole? no i simply disagreed with them on a post so he kindly gave me a bad rep and didn't leave his nam - wtf?????

The problem with this is if you get on the wrong side of someone they can hound you and give you a bad rep on every post that you do.

I try as i'm sure most do to give a balanced side of a view point - but it seems that a minority take it the wrong way and are quick to give you a black mark.

I'm not so sure that its a great idea

Here here!

This exact same thing has happened to me. I disagreed with a couple of people (not pointing the finger at any particular individual). They don't like the fact that I disagree with their comment and next thing I know they are bad-repping my other posts. They must be searching for my recent posts just to add a negative rep! Again, they don't leave their names. It would be interesting if they suddenly enabled a feature which put the users name next to the negative rep, then lets see how many we get!

As far as I can tell, you can't give out rep points ***** nilly, so you have to give a certain number out before you can repeatedly give rep's to the same user, and you can only dish out so many in 24hours. What you have to worry about is getting on the wrong side of some sad loser who has multiple accounts, and then spend's his evenings giving you bad rep at every opportunity, much like my rep points at the moment!
