You're too kind Torpid. I often cringe when I see replies to emails from our company, when the English salesman from our office has made a number of mistakes in his email, yet the reply from the "foreign" customer is perfect.

I'd guessed it was "Hear", Hear" but had wondered if it was a parliamentary thingy with MP's waving their order papers shouting "Here, Here" but I wuz wrong
I just caught a great GWB quote on TV the other day - anyone remember the correct version? He was talking about kids education in the US and said something like "Is kids getting enough education?"

Spelling badly is one thing, but substituting two/three letter words for a single letter/number is worse. There is no excuse to shorten 'see' to 'c' when you have a full keyboard in front of you.

what a crap thread. anyone who cares about others spelling aint you got nothing better to worry about?
This subject does make me think "you ****" when i get critasized on spelling and grammer.
The best of it all they use it as a weapon to try and have a dig when there loosing an argument or they think its superior to pass judgment.
if you can get the jist of the post regardless of spelling mistakes , then get on with it. if your that fecking clever you should get the jist anyway!!

Absolutely no excuse for bad spelling on message boards nowadays.
Technology is there to help you, you Luddite!
Install this and then add on this.
Easy.
Or, if you're still using internet explorer, add this.
Grammar is still an issue though.
