To some extent I can see where Gatty is coming from - namley, communities that won't integrate with the indigenous population. However, I don't think you can tar all followers of a particular religion with the one brush.
Those people (muslims included) that have lived their lives in the UK can rightly consider themselves to be British. However, I do think our immigration policy should be based on the ability of the potential immigrant to contribute to the economy, a bit like the Aussie model (as far as I know it ).
