I reckon that she takes you as a very fickle person, what you could have been in her eyes. I think you need to change a lot of things about you, if you want to win her over. Prove to her that you have those quatlities she likes, the ones she went for a long time ago. Not just on superficial level, but in a permanent way.

can you do it?

Leopard dont change it's spots in my opinion....
You'll live a lie constantly trying to be the person you think she wants rather than being yourself...

(weird thoughts of you with a brolly, singing in the rain so to speak) if you catch my drift!

Andy
I aint a Brokeback Mountain fan if thats what your getting at.

I dont get your drift to be honest.

Are you saying i should be looking for these qualities ?? The girl in question had all of these when i met her, but she wanted to settle down .............. i kinda didnt.

I think i can. We spoke a while ago & she asked me to change something that really got to her. Even though it cost me a lot to do it (not financial) i did it. Though i think at that point it was too late.

I can change a few things but not everything. I couldnt turn into a Passat man, if you get my meaning ??

Yeah, of course, you'll think about her less and less. What if she is 'the one' though? Are you prepared to live with the regret and how, in line with recent experience, will this affect future relationships?

Are you positive there's no opportunity for you to tell her how you feel? Is she seeing someone else? Does she, whilst being angry with you, have similar feelings toward you?

You'll regret not at least trying to be with her, surely.

I have that attitude. People that know me say that they are amazed as nothing phases me. I just get on with it & make best of the situation i have.
This situation is driving me mad.

No i aint positive. I dont think she is seeing someone else, as she plainly put it ........."its none of my business" & it aint but what i feel is my business is her wellbeing.

Agree with JT...
Nothing whatsoever to loose by going for broke......

Whatever it takes, no matter what.
Sell up, move to Mongolia, dye your hair pink... If this is it, last chance..
Nothing else matters really does it?
There's only one of them, and only one life to live it in.......
As I said above though the only thing you cant change is yourself..

OK.

It sounds as if you both need to mature in many ways. You needn't be threatened of her demands, nor does she need to take you for a selfish lover.
You both need to adjust with each other and, give each other space/liberty ( as long as it is not misused)
Communicate with her on such issues. if she still feels for you in the same way, you will win her back

Been there myself, sad to say only time and good friends are about the only things that will help I'm afraid.

In the end, it was my mates that got me through my ****, oh and hobbies. Oh and I even changed jobs because of her.

Lesson learnt, never screw around in the company, even if they are in a different office.

I think something more than flowers is in order, something in the order of... let me think... have it written across the building opposite to where she works.. stuff like you see in the movies...

Have plane fly over with a banner... Ring her and just say look out the window....

Sure.

I was just saying that 18 out of 36 qualities between a man and a woman are to be matched between them for relationship purposes; according to the Indian horroscope match making
Now, if the girl likes a boring twohat with a passat, she has to find someone else. You need someone who likes what you like! You will get one, one day
Divert your attention to other activities and people. You will be ok.
Some people leave a mark of their presence in your life for the time being, until someone better comes and erases it. Or, that mark stays on, regardless of any new arrival. That mark can be treasured, if you are brave enough to do so. Or, put mental/emotional blocks to block all the memories.

Good luck again, Stephen

I dont think she is looking for a Passat, she tried that in between us & it didnt work.

I think she wants something a bit more but without the running costs.

I hope i can give her this & i will try & cut down the running costs

One other thing that spooked me (before I go, just remembered)
Split up with her years ago, moved on.
One Christmas decided to go to London for a bit of Christmas shopping, (not something we used to do together either..)
I was looking at the pavement, wandering along and accidentally bumped shoulders with someone, looked up from my daydream to apologise just as she looked up to say the same.
Weird **** like that freaks me out about it. like we were suppose to be there...

Anyway... bed
