Can we have a forum for Llamas too. Me and me mates just want to talk about eating plants and stuff, and all we get is Sccoby-this and Scooby-that.
Many thanks

Okay maybe I had a stupid idea... you all have fair points...but you have all misunderstood what I was trying (obviously not very well) to say.
Now can I please justify where I was coming from without incurring further abuse and ridicule
and before you all leap in again and chop my head off..I am speaking for myself...
I find it difficult to discuss things about my car on here because I do not know the technical terms for stuff if the other girls do then that's great ...
I thought just a small ladies section (GUYS WERE NEVER TO BE EXCLUDED) where car problems could be discussed without the need to use the correct jargon... I would be able to learn things and maybe there is another girl on here that also is reluctant because she does not know all the jargon...
a couple of years ago I posted something about my car's performance and got a 'male reaction' ie: isn't that just typical female logic... of course I hadn't said the air temperature and mix was correct for the perfomance I got on that day...
okay I agree it's a dump idea... it was not an attempt to exclude guys, or turn it into a girlie show with lipstick & handbags and what scent are you using...
but judging from some of the male comments about our place is in the kitchen etc etc... might be just what I'm talking about.
forget I even mentioned it... no harm was intended.
P
PS and I really don't understand why it would be any different from some of the other threads... if we are a united forum .. then why aren't ALL the topics be in one place????

Hey listen PEN I understand where you are coming from.........
But as I have always been one to be able to mix with the lads.........even at school I was honoury member of the football team ..........I disagree with the principle
Don't ever be afraid to ask questions even if they sound dumb......so what???? I have learnt a lot from here I no longer worry about posting something silly especially as I have now been labelled a muppet
This BBS is very well balanced I think a girls forum will really be bad for it..........
I prefer the banter you get from guys its a lot more fun
Another suggestion is to get a Yahoogroups mailing list going for girl Scooby owners if you wish to pursue this idea
Cheers,
Michelle.

p.s. How about a forum where people can post just for the sake of it - you don't need to say anything or ask question. We could call it say - 'the Fraggle forum' or something

Didnt mean to be too sarky, but i agree with FB and Chelle. I have found alot out on here, and i dont pretend to know everything about cars, far from it. I dont even drive a Scooby any more !!!
I tend to post on topics i know, and give helpful advice where i can. I think you will find most (if not all) Scoobynetters to be like this. You may get a bit of playful sarcasm from posting what you might think is a dumb question, but usually someone give you the answer.
Keep on keeping on.
P.S. Are you coming to next weeks meet at the Crispin in Ascot ? (Oops hijacked thread.........)

I knew diddly squat about Scoobs when I came on here - just that they go fast
I now know a bit more - like they come in different colours etc
I believe you're in the vast majority on here as I'm sure not all scoobynetters are technogeniuses (even tho' they'd have us believe they are )
If you've got a question ask it! Somewhere amongst the muppety replies will be some helpful advice I remember Rebecca had a serious query about her car some time ago, she posted a question in general that got muppetised to death so she then posted the same question in the muppet forum and got lots of helpful info!!!

LOL @ Druddle, you'll be hunted down by the Yanks next, you do realise the CIA are on the lookout for certain words posted on the net and you just lit up their Christmas tree with 10,000 volts!!!!
Yeah it doesn't matter if you don't know the correct term for something, just post what you can. Indeed, some parts of the scoob don't even have an official name Take the MY99/00. Is it the "orange thing", "bit below the indicator", "orange grill bit type thing" or "grill vent type thing in the front bumper thats orange" Someone will know what your getting at
So anyway, I've got a problem with the thingamy. Its behind the whatdocallit in the whatsitsname. Trouble is when I turn the thing nothing happens?
See you at the Crispin PEN????? We won't bite, honest, and there often tends to be a girls only corner Sorted

I also agree keep it as it is,
If you want to be different there's always a women board you can find.
This is all about both sexes getting together on the same interest and having a good time.
I hate these men/girlie things I love both sexes together girlie chat is boring all we need is men to respect us a little more and be nicer to us.

Hear hear Chelsie
I for one certainly don't want to be relegated to a "women only" corner...corner..did someone mention a corner???
Ive always found that it's a positive BENEFIT to be a woman if you don't know what the hell you're talking about with cars..lol..you can illicit information with minimal knowledge and get away with it cos there's a perception that with a few exceptions you wouldn't be expected to know what you were on about anyway....and anyway...how better to pander to the male ego than by asking for their help with a subject that they're all SUCH experts on!!!!!
Long live the mixed showers....whoops ..forum!!!, and anyway...Chelles right....the banter you can have with a group of men knocks any hen party into a cocked (no pun intended) hat!!!
HELLOOOOOO BOYS!!!!

There was me thinking the ice age was over - men with beards and large clubs demanding the little women to do the housework and make the tea - is it really still alive out there.
Not in my house that is for certain - us women have been proved to have not only far superior bodies but also far superior minds. This stretches in my case to the outstanding knowledge of Subaru Impreza's and I can answer most if not all the problems posted whenever I read your little mens topics - some of you really know nothing don't you!!!!!!
You only need to take a look at that WUZ -on drivetrain forum - heading restrictor problem - he can't cope with his over boost (Puuuffffff!) - block that restrictor up I say and get your foot down - Subaru's were built to perform not to do the shopping in.
Women are the best - and you all know it - don't you!!!!
Impreza Babe.

right, i'm being serious here. ive never heard such sh1te in all my life. when i read a post, or reply to a topic, i dont give a rats *** if the person i'm 'talking' to is male, female, gay straight, black or white. its just a 'person' on the other end of a phone line.if youre a to55er, it dont matter if yer male or female. if you have summat good to say, i dont care if yer called some girly name or not.
why have 'babe','chick' or summat else in your user name?is it to let everyone KNOW yer female and thus get a different response than if u are a fella? why not have a sh1te name like mine? i dont play on the fact i'm a gorgeous hunk with a big todger do i? nah, all da b1tches know it anyway
so c'mon, give it a rest with this pc boll0cks, and enjoy a good discussion, regardless sex/orientation or creed.
