Video - was it you?

as soon as I saw the thread title and the author I knew instantly that it was the next chapter in Gary's quest to remind us low life impreza drivers once again how the scoob 'ain't the fastest thing on the road' and how many a inferior car can have thousands spent on it and subsequently outperfom the scooby in almost every department including rolling starts, motorway speeds and in the dreaded twisties...
I also knew, without reading the thread, that the replies would descend into insult with monsieur Gutmann addressing the semantics of each reply against him to retort.
to use an analogy, Gary is the fisherman and many of you are the catch of the day.
Despite the fact that this method of baiting has been many times before, it makes me laugh that it still works (must be fish new to the pond) and what makes me laugh even harder is the fact that I still read it.
Gary, you will be accused soon of becoming a one trick pony as more and more of the fish wise up to the sight of your hook.

Thanks for spending your precious time and replying though

Yes Dave, but a truly versatile troll should have a repertoire... I note that you have come to rely on the cheap tyres / low salary relationship put-down far too much of late.

I havent read the whole thread, nor watched the video, but it was probably quicker because the driver was better. Car speed is more evident on the straights; driver speed is apparent in the corners.....

You get the token track day ******** with lots/more power but can't drive and is as slow as **** through the corners. What is it with some people and track days, just get out of the way its not a race.
Got this quite alot with the MX5 on a few track days. could lap the same time and quicker but not on the straights. Then you get dicks that have obviously got a faster car indicating to let you pass but keeping their foot firmly buried That is until you out brake them and catch them up in Surtees/ Mclaren then stick it under them into Clark curve

That's my favourite cornering technique fast in - backwards out
