Fair and valid point, however I don't think that will affect the objectivity of certain posters on here.

I change my cars like the wind & last year I bought a 54 plate gunmetal MR340. Ive just bought a Hawkeye sti ppp.
Whilst the evo probobly had the '***** out' edge, the scooby is EASILY the better package, It loves speed humps, sounds better, is more comfortable & 'in my opinion' better lookin.
The evo was fun but very short lived ( I owned for 6 weeks then jogged it on)
Mart.
Scoobys better.

Eh?
Its not a track car though??
You could counter that by saying the STi isnt good enough to modify compared to the Evo.![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
Have you tried it as a daily driver? I use mine for a 50 mile a day round trip and its totally fine. I found the S2000 a touch more impractical. I really dont know where these daily driver comments come from!
Im totally neutral here btw - ive owned both.

Yeah I may well have gone for a 6, but the size of the fuel tank would have meant refilling every 3-4 days
So I can see the point there.
I cant see any issues with the 7/8/9 unless anyone has OWNED both and can comment?

FQ stuff is harsh, but its no worse than my S2000 really.
I really do find it bearable - but not ideal.
Ive got MR Billies to go on and that will make it spot in.
AYC servicing can be pushed out a touch too.

i havent read the whole thread but as i have had 3 scoobies( wrx type ra drag spec, and 2 97 wagons) and also an evo 4 then i will post my opinions of them as i am unbias...looks wise i liked my type ra but the evo was edgy looking too. the power delivery from the evo 4 was breath taking for a std motor but came in at 2500 rpm like a punch in the chops. the imprezas are more progressive through the range...the impreza will be cheaper to service and find parts for due to their numbers but are more expensive to tune to a higher level imho ...the evo handled much better out of the crate than the scooby and comes higher specced from factory in comparitive years (and a little pricier too) but i like the drive and stance of the impreza...it really comes down to the owner and what they like about these cars...i love them both..i would like to own one or two of each
but cant afford to. so its up to whatever you are looking for in the car...hope you find what yo uare looking for...

The thing is unreal. AYC is a biiiig step in the right direction![EEK!](images/smilies/eek.gif)
Full power through wet bends and you can feel things going on beneath you.

I'm no longer neutral my bias is towards the Impreza as the all round best sports car
