In Goa itself, the girl i was with worked in a dentist here in the UK and looked at the machines, she said they were the same.

Very clean in there too, will have all dentistry work done there from now on

It's just that when I had my wisdom tooth out there ( in India itself, not in Goa though), the dentist was very cruel. When he was trying to extract my tooth, I nearly extracted his arm by grabbing it, it hurt so ******* much! Their "modern" is your " 60's". may be, Goa is a bit more forward with all that tourists invasion, who knows!

Having mine done at the minute.

Already seen results after a week: gone from a discoloured greyish to a creamy white.

You're right: your teeth become sensitive whilst having the treatment, as the solution attacks the enamel. But I've not worn the gumshields for a couple of nights now (due to a cold) and they are now back to normal.

I'm taking it carefully though: I just want my gnashers to look "normal", don't want to end up looking like bloody Simon Cowell or a Bee Gee. So keep asking the opinions of friends/family.

Vain?? Of course not. I'll still be an ugly *******, just with brighter teeth.

Usual method is 10% carbamide peroxide as a gel in a mouthguard for 2 hours per day. Treatment time is usually 3 weeks and lasts for average 3 years before top up needed.

17% of people suffer sensitivity which requires bleaching to be undertaken more slowly (every other day), anecdotal side effect (not proven) of external resorption but I've never seen this.

Currently Illegal to use in the UK as we abide by the EU cosmetical Devices Regulations 1992. Local authorities have been told to prosecute LOL I'm not holding my breath !!

There's little that cannot be overcome by human ingenuity. For instance, if one were to freeze a turd in liquid nitrogen and get it on the buffing wheel with a fine compound, I'm sure stunning results could be obtained.

Granted, if one were to do as you say no doubt an acceptable aesthetic result could be accomplished. However, what we have here is akin to bleaching an unusually yellow peanut in the aforementioned turd in order to return it to an acceptable peanut hue. Too little, too late.

the story with my teetu is a funny one,

i used to go regularly to the dentist but i last went when i was around 10 or 11 which is an amazing 24 years ago , i havent bothered at all because they havent hurt. lately they looking grey, and my wife managed to get me in the one in heald green, i had a pollish and two small fillings and that was it!
i was expecting him to say they were carnage and questioned him twice when he said "all done"
i bought a whitening kit on ebay and used it and they are fine no pain nice and white and makes your face look bright because your not afraid to smile

i recommend the kit i got of ebay but i wouldnt do it any more than once every 18 months

I do wish you'd stop trying to sell us the ridiculous notion that not having any of your own teeth is in any way a blessing.

Over and over again you bore us with the fact that you are a toothless, gummy, trout. Now, having no teeth is not convenient, it's not attractive and the thought of a borderline mong who can barely string two sentences together grimacing inanely with his comedy billybob teeth in is almost too much to bear!

just cos your a redneck hick, hows the banjo playing coming along?? btw?

and why is having no teeth not convenient? i can eat what i want, don't have to worry about dentists, and know that if they ever do discolour, i can get new ones pronto.

and no fillings either.

I had this done at Britesmile in the US - I'm afraid I was not very impressed. I think I ws expecting a radical transformation and it just was not that apparent.
