No idea. typical Latics this, Brighton on Saturday, not won at home in over 2 months. You just know they'll beat us though. Chesterfield last match who have already played us off the park twice this season and will be fighting to league safety. Can see us not even getting another point. Getting really depressing now.

On the bright side. Leeds might still be relegated yet

Give us a milliion and you can have him although he is the only latics player in the last 30 years to have scored 20+ in one season Bear in mind hes missed half of the season too.

We aint a one man team, if anything we would miss Ritchie Wellens more than anyone else in the team. Just looks like the goals have dried up for us now.

Wink

Our lad has just equalled a 40-odd year old clun scoring record of 31 goals in a season, with two games to go.

Mind, the old record was set by Barrie Thomas who scored 31 goals for us BEFORE CHRISTMAS in our old second division days, and was then sold to Newcastle United.

Well big finale coming up this weekend. I really think Oldham will throw it away but also believe Blackpool will do Swansea so we should still clinch 6th.

getting odds of 8.8 to 1 on Betfair for Chesterfield to win, MASSIVE odds considering they have a new manager to impress and we will be playing with nerves, its Oldham all over to mess things up so I stuck £10 on Chesterfield.

So if Oldham win - I lose £10 and dont care cause we are in the playoffs
Chesterfield win - I win £90 to drown my sorrows (presuming Swansea get more than a defeat)
Draw - £5 on the draw returns £17.50 so that covers my betting money

Cant really lose on Saturday now can I.

Oh and if the day goes as I expect (Oldham and Swansea lose) I gain £90 for my play off semi's and play off final ticket

I'll be up bright & early tomorrow queuing for the first leg tickets, I must admit I'm glad we drew Blackpool, they may be the form team but I think we can 'do' them.......plus it's a good day out. Just hope I can get tickets for the away game too. Oh when the bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuues!

Royton Blue... Where have you been hiding all season?

Im dreading the fact we have Blackpool, they will win the play offs tbh, I said it ages ago, would rather have had forest in the semis (tickets would have been much easier too) now I have to try to get tickets for the away leg (going to be impossible) and be there for 11am (Im in Lincolnshire btw)

Maybe an Oldham v Forest final to get rid of the old memories eh?

p.s. Do I know you or OWTB's or JKLatics?

Cool

Woohoo, I've got my tickets. Went to BP this morning and the queue was huge, didn't really want to wait so I went home & ordered them by phone within seconds.

Dave, I'm OAFC on both JK & OWB.....I don't post much/at all but I do read the forums everyday (same with this website).

As for the play-offs, I really didn't want us to face Forest. I just think they would be too strong for us over two legs (ignoring previous meetings). Blackpool are in great form and seem to be very similar to what we were earlier in the season. I think the lads will be really up for this one (local derby too) and Bloomfield Road is not an intimidating ground like say Ashton Gate or City Ground. I just want to get to Wembley!

I got a phone call this morning, my mate has managed to get me 2 tickets for the home leg, just the away to worry about, definately wont be getting a ticket with the Latics lot there, will have to sit with the Seasiders for that game

City Ground would have been better for an away allocation of fans, we had fans locked out of Bloomfield Road for the league game so play offs will be massive....

I really hope we do it in style at Wembley though, would top of a terrific season.

Do you think you'll get one for the Blackpool ends? They seem like gold dust up there too, I'll have to get up & queue at about 7am on Monday morning to get an away ticket, I'm still in two minds whether to go because none of my mates have season tickets, I'll either have to dump them at the Pleasure Beach/Pub or just sell it........need to get one first though!

They go on General sale tomorrow morning in Blackpool for the away leg. Its an option, shame the bridge has come down otherwise we could have watched for free from there lol

Well feel free to give me your voucher and I'll go and queue up for a ticket instead Im not a season ticket holder so definately going to struggle.

I'll be sat in the Lookers paddock row J seat 90 on Sunday btw
