Leave me alone.....this was meant as a bit of fun......I would never make fun of disabled people, whatever their disability might be.....

some of the points made were very one sided, with easily argumentable points, and exxageration i think.

This seems to have gone completely off topic.
Did anyone see the Romanian Orphanages on the news last night? There's not many things that make me truly angry, but f*ck me, how can they even consider letting countries who treat children like this into the EU?
One girl had been tied to her cot all her life, she was 9 years old.
There were too many disturbing images to list here, kids who are never let out of their cots and have no human contact at all. Just imagine your own children in that situation, then judge whether these countries have any place in a civilised society, regardless of immigration issues.
They are so desperate to get into the EU, why wasn't a condition of joining that they sort out these orphanages? It's a disgrace.

Anyway, disabled spots outside an Ice Rink, fair enough with the points made but no one has mentioned those who arrived able bodied but fully expect to leave the place disabled....

Apparently, only THREE counties in the UK allowed so called "blanket" immigration, no holds barred, type immigration:
Ireland, (well, under-populated and too few workers for lower paid jobs, apparently,
Sweden, (as above),
UK: (as above...........oh no, that's not right )
EVERY other EC country put on regulations similar to those the Aussies USED to have:
Yes, you can come, BUT, first prove there's a job for you, then prove you have the qualifications for said job, THEN prove there's no indiginous workers wanting that job.
Sounds good to me, and also fair.
AFAIK, NO other EC country has paid, or is likely to pay benefits to workers for their families still living elsewhere Apparently, the UK does
And now Bulgaria and Romania: BOTH governments have threatened to take the UK govmt to the EC Court of human rights if we try to put any restrictions on THEIR workers coming here that we didn't put on any other EC countries workers.
Can you IMAGINE TB Liar and his boys going against THAT? No, me neither
Alcazar
OH, forgot to say, the NEXT country sponsored for entry to the EC, by our very own TB Liar, is Turkey.
MOST other EC states have reservations, but not good old Tone
A French newspaper last year ran an article stating that if Turkey were to be allowed entry, the predominant religion of the EC would IMMEDIATELY become Muslim.
Dunno if it's true or not, but if it is, it's fekkin scary

[QUOTE=Paul3446]We should make it a condition of joining the EU that they denounce Islam.

A lot of people thought it was a great thing when the polish started filling the low end jobs at our factory, now they are encroaching on our semi skilled and skilled jobs its only management that think its a good idea I'm personally down £4k on 2 years ago, but then again it must be because I'm lazy useless UK scum and not a cheap immigrant worker.

Scrap the EU I say, let's just have fair trading between ALL/ANY country and let each country decide their own rules/laws etc. Let countries bond trading relationships naturally. We do with the US for example and on thew whole it works ok.
