Fair enough. I've seen Resistance running and wasn't that impressed myself, (graphically speaking I didn't think it was better than gow or cod3 for example). Not seen motorstorm running yet...

Well done if you were so pro 360 why buy a PS3. Suggest you try other games as PS3 has twice to power! I have played a 360 round amates with the live thing and all those gay american voices - no big I say PGR is nowt compared to GT4 I might add!

here come the Sony fanboys...
Utter rubbish. On paper the PS3 has a slight advantage in some areas, but in reality the difference is very small, (and that's coming from the games developers themselves). I suspect that you'll struggle to see the difference between the machine in practice.
What makes you think the PS3 will be any different as far as that is concerned?
Is that sentence even English? PGR is not a good game in my opinion. But then again, I thought GT4 was utter rubbish as well. Poor AI, naff AI, bounce off walls collision detection, no damage etc. I've never understood why people like it. Bored me completely within a week.

Play.com has Forza2 as coming out in Feb, whereas Gameplay says later on this year (can't remember the exact date and it's blocked here at work).
Tesco also state 2nd Feb.

The release date hasn't been officially annouced yet, so they're all guessing at the moment. Gameplay are predicting March and Amazon are predicting June !!

GT4 HD Concept is a let down really..... the graphics are not much better than the original PS2 game running in the 1080i mode that it was capable of.
Lets hope GT5 is a marked improvement.
I'm sure the PS3 will become a great machine..... but whether it will be any better than the 360 only time will tell.

I really do feel that the PS3 will be the machine of choice. Just give developers time to extract the most from it.
Remember when the PS1 was originally released withe Ridge Racer as a launch title. Graphically compared to Gran Turismo a few years down the line you would swear that both games were being run on a different console. After seeing MGS on the PS1 I would never have said that it was capable of running such a game when the console was first released.
When the second and third generation releases start coming through I reckon we'll start seeing real graphical wonders

People will ask why they would invest so much in a machine when the current games are as good as or better on another cheaper machine..
Purists may choose the PS3.. but the masses may go Xbox.. just like Betamax + VHS.. and we know what happened there.

Poppycock ........... just buy a Wii
I'm playing a ten year old game(Mario 64) on mine and it looks ace , well not bad anyway
All this HD stuff is distracting from the actual gameplay in games , if a game is good enough you dont notice the bleeding graphics .

Very true. Bring back the Dragon 32 that's what I say , (in fact I've still got mine - must dig it out of the cupboard)...
But, just imagine if they could recapture that gameplay, and have the fancy graphics to go with it. Now that would be a game worth having. Sadly I've not played many games lately (on any platform) that even come close...

A lot of these machines are bought buy parents too and they will stick with something safe that they know about, they trust the Playstation brand now no matter how arrogant Sony seem to gamers.
I've got a 360 and it's a superb machine but I still think Sony will sell a lot more units. And once they sort out their pricing their sales will obliterate Microsofts.
