My other dog is still doing fine but he misses the other one to i spoil him and he gets away with murder but at the end of the day he is 1 of the family i love him to bits . I am glad he gets to spend a bit more time with you before the inevitable, he will be sure to feel loved before he goes and I am sure you have given him a happy life

Really sorry to hear your news.
When the time comes I really would advise getting a vet to come out to your house to do it just after giving him a lovely bar of chocolate.
Please give him a stroke for me.

Certainly you should think about that if you have other dogs as they will sense what has happened and get over it almost instantly. Unlike us humans. Sad news - keep your chin up. dl (who lost his beloved Golden last summer).

I had to do it twice last year- don't feel bad.
You'll feel better with time- he was only going to get worse.
Letting him sleep was the right decision for both.

Its all about quality of life, you (as you know) did the right thing so the old fella wouldn't suffer anymore...
I'm sure he had a quality time with you and that's all any pet, or for that matter person can ever hope for...
Thoughts are with you mate...
