Was the £250k win on Deal or No Deal fixed ?

Anyone who says that the programme didn't completely engineer the gamble by offering a paltry £45k in those circumstances is mad
A recent player (black girl) who was left with the £250k and her other box was a few k (from memory), was offered £107,000 and obviously she dealt. She'd be made to risk it with such an offer.
Offering £45k was as close to guaranteeing a gamble as the producers could get, and it got them their big winner that gives the ratings the boost they wanted.

I think FIX is the wrong word, everyone still has a choice to make, she COULD have took the money. Maybe engineered to a point of probability, but even with such a low offer to persuade a gamble, it could have been 3k left.
Ask yourself this... What would YOU have done?
Gamble? £250,000 v £3000
or
Take £43000

As long as there is 250K on the board I would "No Deal" all the way. You may as well gamble seeing that you arrived in the seat with nothing, hence nothing to loose.

I'd gamble every time - without hesitation and £45,000 is a LOT of money to me!! Enough to bring about significant change in my life (more than half the term of my mortgage)! I just can't take on odds that bad for an assured sum, it goes against all my ethics as a gambler

Did he tell you that?
Might have done, but I don't memorise their names! How much was he offered? I'd guess circa £100k based on the others who still had the £250k box in play at the last offer?
I agree, like I said previously, they can never "fix" it, unless the contestants are plants, as no one knows from one show to the next what an individual might do once in the hot seat, but what they certainly can do, is engineer it to the max, and IMHO thats what goes on day in day out, and especially in the £250k winner's show! No way that offer was based on her previous opinions on sweeps!
I disagree. Imagine your last 2 boxes are the £250k and say £10k. The average offer seems to be around £100k. You'd be willing to walk away with a paltry £10k (relatively speaking!) just for the gamble of winning £250k when £100k would make a considerable difference to most working class folks lives!
