As mentioned, my sister has her tongue pierced.
She's a branch manager of a well known bank and is just about to start a teaching job and has plenty of friends.
Her boyfriend is covered in tattoos but is a successful carpenter and ex Army sniper/weapons tester and very good boxer.
They are both very sociable and far more interesting than many of you vacuous turds.
I get on with people who are interesting, not judgemental to55ers like some of you, who blame NL for everything.
Get a life you Daily Mail reading f**kwits.

We were just discussing what kind of intelligence has their body parts pierced - we concluded overwhelmingly that an IQ of 10 is what they top out at ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
It really is the most stupid thing anyone could do to themselves ... are these the same people who also self-harm?

What a sheltered and crap life it was.
We then moved to Cornwall, saw the other side of life and now reap the enormous benefits of a balanced view on life.
It was a close call but most people also "grow up" and mature. Seems you skipped this bit?

I used to be a bit like you - Self opinionated, posh school attending, pseudo snobby, blinkered half wit (but academically bright) who thought I was better than everyone else.

Well explain your rather daft sentence then.
"You have forgotten more than I'll ever know?"
So you USED to know a lot but have forgotten most of it?
Possibly hinting that your not the sharpest tool in the box?
Perhaps with a sentence like that, it's you who is suffering from a touch of mental retardation?

The piercer told me it would heal quickly, when i asked, which convinced me it was only temporary.
After about 6 months i took it out for a job interview. Was in there about 2.5 hrs. I couldn't get it back in (in the elevator as i left). Tried about an hour later and it had slightly healed, had to re-pierce it with the bar. Now that was uncomfortable!!
Now (6/7 years on) i hardly ever take it out. I notice the top of my tongue is indented and feels numb/weird when i take it out.
