fence is now rock solid (done some serious belt and braces strengthening at my neighbours) gate back up, pinned with huge coach bolts. The Eucalyptus has lost a few branches, but probably needed a haircut anyway..

Interesting. Why do you say that? I've burnt heaps of it before and combined with almond and olive makes for a good combination. The only negative comments I've heard relate to it's potential for releasing sap into the chimney or flues but as I've only used it in countries with hot summer temperatures and given it at least a couple of years to season, that's never been a problem.

I'm going to leave this at least three years as its clearly a different species of gum tree to the ones I'm used to. Very green and sappy look to it.
