I'd like to know how everyone seems to think that these people are pikeys and low lifes? Everyone likes a freebie, especially those with big bank balances.

No jealousy on my part but law or no law, it's far too much like theft to me. I'm not casting judgement on those who believe they are within the law - if that's what they want to do then fine.

It's not theirs though! Whatever the legalities over it, they do not own the goods and have created "four times the damage" plundering cargo boxes.

For a steering wheel worth £50?
For a trashed motorbike?

Seemed to be mostly x5's and other assorted chelsea tractors filling up with these goods. It was an x5 that was on the news towing the motorbike away, hardly a pikey mobile

KoT - Errrmm a big 4x4 is actually a classic pikey mobile.

Nothing like believing the media propoganda do you think that bmw are going to put mangled waterlogged bikes on the show room floor? course not their insurance will sort them out.

Make no mistake the insurance companies will screw the money out of us anyway so at least a few people benefit from these freebies

The media got that from environment agencies and a certain charity which is where I got it from.

The damage those scummers are causing now means the clean up operation is likely to take a year or more.

But at least someone can flog a steering wheel on fleabay eh?

A U turn? how'd you work that one out **** brick? Didnt I make it clear enough for you in my earlier posts that I wouldnt do it or did you have your selective reading glasses on today.

Are you always this ignorant, or are you making a special effort today? Reading your post makes blindness a wonderful thing to look forward to.

Not sure if I would want an airbag thats done a couple of days in salt water myself ?

They will need to update the BMW motorbike buyers guide to say

'Check for Barnacles'

I can see how a free (if a little damp) bike is attractive, but what the **** would anyone want with an empty wine barrel, its just a case of its free so I will take it, bit like the free phones thing on here the other day, all the freebie addicts after something for nothing. When I get anything I have to want it to buy it, not want it cos its cheap. Anything that comes in my house is required by me as the kids and wife get enough crap without me adding to it, I dont really need any more stuff, my in laws have a barn and its stuffed with old junk that they dont need, you expand into the available space.

Say no to clutter !

These thieving opportunists would think differently if they actually lived there. There are reports in the increase in burglaries, shed being broken into, tools stolen, wheelie bins being taken, cars blocking and parking in residents driveways, and not to mention the mess left on the beach from looters breakinging into and tearing a part the cargo.

I live in the next bay down the coast. I've just been taking the dog for a walk and three scousers in a transit have asked me where they can get a bed for the night.

My company has a few containers of hazardous chemicals onboard that ship. We Have been tracking it since Thursday last week. Imagine look on their faces if they opened up our container and got a face full of hazardous chemicals !

You just never understand what people are saying to you Engers. Maybe you can't think laterally, or perhap's its all too much for you!

If you had thought for a minute about what I said you would have realised I was not necessarily disagreeing with the point that you were making.

Its not so much what you said as the way that you said it, in your usual objectionable way which is your trademark. You seem to be able to speak only in childishly insulting terms!

In actual fact, I would not follow you anywhere!
