You need to look around a bit more then. There is often a Corsa at Elvington dragstrip that craps on 300bhp scoobs, once rolling it would kill the scoob over the 1/4 mile.

But does it drive there and back or on/off back of a trailer?

Genuine Q BTW not a **** take!

If it's the same one I'm thinking off.

It does drive there and back IIRC.

I've been overtaken by loads of crap cars, there's speed and inappropriate speed. If some t1t wants to risk his license and hopefully his life overtaking me and doing 70 in a 30 zone then good luck to him. Usually is one of the corsa/clio brigade who's driven through halfrauds and out again with any old ****e that will stick.

I teach youngsters in a FE College, they drive lots of small cars - modded etc, I try never to put them down tbh! It's just called respect for people and the cars they own at the end of day!

It seems that the Corsa guy who posted is pretty immature imo - and got a chip or two on his shoulder tbh

You can bet your life if he had the chance to own a Subaru - he would bite your hand off for it.

All the cars I have owned up to the Scooby have been FWD, and I would never go back to one again after buying my blob-eye.

Mark.

Ive had a few turbo cars in my time and have to say i like my scoob the most......But saying that I know a few rs turbos that will keep up with a 300bhp scoob (might even pass it aswell) and i know a chap that has built a corsa with close to 300bhp.

Now if you check out that power to weight ratio,im sure you will see which is better.
If you think a little harder you will also understand that a 4wd car will have the pick up from a standing start, but will lose out once going to the lighter car.
I think the only one talking **** here is you my blinkered friend.

That one? The thing's not even a turbo Absolute legend! XE on TBs with nitrous. And more nitrous = 11.8 @121.

Will be at TOTB this year with the Vauxsport team

The thing is there is more to a car than just speed.

I moved from a stupidly quick Astra Turbo to the Subaru because of the whole driving experience.

Don't mean to sound patronising, but when you are young all some people think of is ''yeah it'll do 150mph and beat a Scooby (in a straight line)''.
But once you get older and more experienced you appreciate there is a hell of a lot more to driving than top speed. (and having 7 points on your licence also helps )

I'm not saying the Astra wasn't a laugh....it was....but i have so much more fun in the Scooby than i ever did in the Astra.

I was behind Solberg at rally GB in me wagon, but his scoob was f@ck all like mine, but it did say SUBARU on the back end just like mine, but there the similarity ends i'm afraid.

I'll drink to that

I've got an XE Corsa on carbs and it's a proper giggle, but my old RA would have run circles round it in nearly every discipline.

Anything will beat a Scooby in a straight line anyway, taking them above 100 with a TMIC??

I have a question

Why would anyone on here be even the slightest bit bothered about other car owners or their stories of 'heroic antics'?

I'd guess that most of them have never been in an Impreza, let alone owned one

There's quite a few on there that own them tbh. Gatecrasher3, Bicco, Howellsy and me to name a few. There are a few others with various like GT4s, GTRs etc, so the place isn't devoid of good cars lol.

Problem is tha when you cater for Corsas and Novas, you're going to get 5,000 kids as well as the 500 grownups on there. There are some impressive Corsas on there, people have spent real money building very powerful little caged/coilovered hot hatches... But as evidenced, a majority are utter tools who think their Corsa is supercar status.

At least on here, 17yo's don't surface very often.
