2002, 1 year old bugeye GX - can't remember how much it cost.
In any case only had it for 6/12 before it turned into a WRX wagon. Since turned into a forester XT.

My first Scooby was a MY98 Impreza Turbo 2000. Purchased when it was 9 months old with 9,000 miles on the clock for about £21,000 !!!!!!! I bought at the absolute peak of demand when waiting lists were 6-9months.
After having a break driving around in company cars I bought the same MY98 car but with Prodrive styling and 28,000 miles on the clock for about £8000 in 2005.
Then in 2006 I bought an STi 6 with 32,000 miles on the clock for just £8000 too.
They just keep getting better and cheaper! In a few years time I'll be able to buy at 2007 STi for a couple of grand

1998 - UK Turbo 2000 - £20,000 New
2003 - MY97 JDM STi - £12,000 (30k miles/decat)
2005 - MY03 JDM WRX - £13,500 (8k miles)
2006 - MY03 JDM STi - £17,000 (10k miles)
2007 - MY2000 UK Turbo - £6,000 (30k miles)
I have gone full circle - downgraded because the Mrs decided to buy a bigger house and ended up with an identical car to my first one at £6k with 30k miles on the clock.

03 WRX PPP on 20k bought in Jan 04 for £16.4k. 40k on and with AST's, Whiteline bits, STi wheels and wing and in stunning cosmetic and mechanical condition, sold in Sept 06 for £11k. Miss it like crazy and can't wait to get another, but it will have to wait as I don't have time to drive it and can't truly afford the one I want just yet. I'll just keep dreaming of an 06 SpecC TypeRA.

Tony, have you still got your Impreza ?
I bought a MY98 with PPP and full Prodrive bodykit (Sti rear and chin spoilers, 17" wheels, colour coded body work etc. ) for £13,500 in May 2001.
Its still as I bought it apart from 4 pot Brembo's on the front and STi 7 wheels as the original Prodrive Speedlines (which Ive still got) dont fit over the Brembo's.
Weve got 2 cars so it doesnt get used much these days and were thinking of getting a new car VW Golf R32 maybe but I dont think ill ever sell my Scooby.
Ill probably just clean it up, get a few bits sorted that need touching up and put her in the garage and keep her in good nick.
Maybe one day she may be worth some thing again, maybe not ...what will a good condition classic be worth in 10 years time ?
