hello everybody thanks for your help it looks like i wont be driven a scooby turbo for some time. ive devided to go for a little run around and gain some no claims bonus.
as you lot said il have a little bit more money left over for the beer and the girls . im looking to get a nissan micra and get abt 2 years no claim and then try again in 2 years time but i will be definately having a scooby without a doubt.
thanks for your help again

bit of advice if you wanna keep the insurance down even in a couple years time, possibly a uk turbo over a import wrx/sti etc could do you favours. i found it did, having had a wrx for 6 months, and then a uk turbo. the insurance difference was £500 even though the wrx obviously has 20-30bhp more...
andy
p.s. you could always get a warm hatch.
