Based on SUL @ 89.9p
£35 = 38.93 l or 8.564 gallons
135 miles / 8.564 g = 15.76 mpg
.....or 26p a mile
So, if tomorrows run is about 350 miles, budget £90

My Dad used to run garages whe I was a kid
£50 buys 55.6 l @ 89.9p, that's 12.234 gal. 250 miles = 20.435 mpg or 20p/mile
