i think my argument has been well constructed and is a productive one, unlike yours, which is based on misquotes and your own insecurities.
if you feel i have been offensive towards you, then you understand my feelings towards you perfectly![Thumb](images/smilies/thumb.gif)
if you don't like my offensive manner then keep away from me, simple![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)

Please don't try and dictate to me which posts on SN I can read and comment on

Perhaps we need a similar program to investigate in minute detail why thread go into a tailspin !
I don't think the comments were particularly insensitive, more being realistic about human nature and the possibility that any one of us who fly could meet the same fate, not disrespect for those have dies this way.
I do find it fascinating, like I find all aspects of aviation and it isnt a macarbe thing, I don't want to see death and destruction, last nights about fligh 009 was very positive in that it illustrates that things do turn out for the best, ditto the Air France one where everyone got out alive.
Many people are personally touched by air disasters, my dad lost his colleague at work when I was a boy to the Dan Air Tenerife mountain crash, my wife's schoolfriend lost both her parents in a crash, the closest experience I have had was doing a paper round on the morning of 22 August 1985 wondering what the massive stinking plume of smoke was over Manchester airport and Heald Green, it was a 737 burning on the runway, along with some of my future in laws friends.
I think that these programs are a postive thing, we may think that the everyone in the airline industry has everything covered but I suspect some (and passengers) learn things from these programs, a fantastic and accessible source of hindsight, maybe a baggage handler will spot the bit of tape left over from painting, maybe I would be able to explain to the other passengers the problems caused by inadequate maintenance of the MD80's tail jackscrew as it plummets to earth.
And yes bin Eastenders and put on something more cheerful, like an hour about a major air accident, ten times more cheerful.

There's a huge difference between those two examples that I think you fail to see.

Oh well, the fact that Ali's arrived means I'll bugger off, clearly the difference between a fatality and a crash in which someone survives is of little interest, nice
