Severe Weather Warning????
#32
Does anyone know what they mean by "essential travel"?
I ask because, I think it was two years ago, the Local Authority that Mrs. Vegescoob works for as an Headteacher, advised all it's teachers that they were to attempt to get to work. Even if the Police advised "essential travel only".
I can understand that with respect to schools but does that mean all travel to work is essential?
Why do those who issue these announcements not clearly define?

Prepare's for a rush of pic's of Scoobs in carparks doing Doughuts.
Word of Warning,Dont do it,dont waste your petrol.
2 cms of snow and the South will be at a standstill, meaning no petrol deliverys as all the roads will be littered with abandoned cars.

Funny you should mention that, Speye. I've just been to top up with V Power at one of the only 2 petrol stations I've found that sell it
Peterlee or Yarm are my choices

It's okay - we know your petrol is crap
Come on - ignore the price; you know you want some 99Ron!
If you don't mind me asking - where abouts are you based btw? I'm only just down the road from Lakenheath/Mildenhall..

2 cm of snow and the world ends !! What a right bunch of queens twe all are. when I was a kid we had to walk in inches (far better than gay cm's !) of the stuff to school. then play rugby for nearly 2 hours.

My dad always used to manged to get to work in the eighties when we did get a few inches of snow, in a Mk 1 Capri, I dont see how things grind to a halt so easily.
I do note that people poo their pants driving on snow and go way too slowly.

I've already been phoned and warned I maybe one of the few in as people from Wales might be snowed in.
Shame, I was looking forward to "working from home" and enjoying the snow with my dog as my excuse for playing in it
