RX-7 V Scoobs

Exactly......
You see all the big powered Ferraris spanking Evo FQ's and the like?
Considering when you get 400+bhp in a rex, you're at that level......don't get me wrong Evos and Subarus etc are great cars......I just think you get to the point when you want to move away from the safety of awd.....
Did you get my Pm?

Great thread.
RX7 would have been mine if boss hadn't said you have to have 4 doors.
BUT I do 20K miles a year and my Impreza now has 124K on the clock, don't suppose I could have afforded to do what I do in the Impreza if I had the RX7.
Drove to Austria snowboarding last year - in a Rex -
In all honesty can you really only have an RX7 for day to day use ? Or do you need a diesel Passat too
Would still have one for a toy if £s allowed. Good ones will frighten most 911s and RX7s more exclusive too

He sourced it in a very clever way because he knew what I wanted, one came up and he snapped it up for me before I even sold my Subaru.
Then he held it for me....
I'd like to see that footage.......
edited to say I wouldn't have it as an everyday car......only due to petrol consumption........
The jap cars have back seats!
you'd have to have someone with no legs to sit in them though....

Keep dreaming.
If they are so good, you'd see more of them
I also spend a lot of time at tracks, and I could count the number I've seen on one hand, and they all looked crappy with meccano spoilers.

Why aren't they so good then all knowing davyboy?
But at least you've agreed with them being more exclusive
I'm sorry...I didn't know track racing was a prerequisite to knowing everything.......
Sure thing Andy.....wouldn't want a repeat of what happened in my non-modified R33 GTST against your Sti....

Sure a 10year old ROAD car however well modified is going to struggle against state of the art current car.
BUT, my 97 Impreza worried my Boss in his 911 Carrera S. Admitedly my car was being driven much closer to it's limit that his, but still safely and no I'm not saying mines a faster or in fact better machine in anyway at all, but it DID surprise him that I kept in touch. And I'm sure a half good RX7 would be quicker than my old Classic.
Deffinately agree about longer lasting.

You missed my point as I'd expect, but to spell it out. Good, strong reliable older cars get used as regular track cars.
A trabant is more exclusive....for the same reason.

You're hard work, You were negative about the Impreza when you sold it, I guess you'll do the same with this.

dont talk rubbish
Nobody debated that the Rex is a high maintenance car that needs alot of TLC. The Wankel is a strange beast but when looked after and nicely tuned, on or off the track they are amazing machines.
The only problem with things like Porsches or super cars is that it’s all been done, not the easiest thing to start tuning a Porsche.
Rex was made for tuning and customisation

I didn't think it was hard to understand, thanks for making it easier to understand for some people.

lol, and the people who do waffle on about that will have never seen a track...but like to brag in a pub

You two need a private room?
However your post is still stating that they are not used on tracks because of this problem...but why would you want to take them on a track? to prove them?
Oh so if they are so unreliable........why would enthusiasts buy them? er........oh thats right.....to not take them on a track....
You on the other hand davyboy are just tagging a long to a thread just troll.....
Oh well....

and as with track rx7's...the fd3 type r was designed with track use in mind

Thanks for the comments guys, I am still in two minds.
Could keep the scoob and put more power into it, think after awhile will feel the same though and make no difference.
Could take a chance get the Rx7.
