This was my baby

GTE 2.0 - lowered, bigger wheels, full xhaust system, K&N 57i and much more... what a great and fun car that was, had it for 6 years and it took me through the whole Europe
actualy my 1st car was a Trabant, but I don't think you know what that is. All I can say thats the BEST car to learn drive and if you manage that you can drive anything
Now I've UK95, a different story

Cool

Did any of your cars earn nicknames though? This was "The Breadvan", after the Passat advert of the time (early 90's) - "shaped like a breadvan and couldn't pull the skin off custard"

The only nickname I've had for a car has been 'sh1theap' (a rusty renault 18) but I'm sure
most people have owned a car like that at some point!

True, but it was the only car I made money on. I bought it for £800 and sold it £900. Strange thing was I bought off a family friend for the £800, as this was what they had been offered for it as a part exchange. I went back with the car to same garage 6 months later and got £900 for it, so I guess my polishing did something for that particular turd.

OK here we go, but no pics sadly:

1: F-reg Fiesta 1.6d (non-turbo)- tyres all of diff sizes, missing engine mountings, a death trap really but it got me out and about, so I loved it
2: Renault Clio 16v - my first performance car, and I did 55k miles in it, travelled all over Europe and heartbroken when I sold it. A wicked little car.
3: 1st Scoob!!!!! A 94M Sti2 TYpe RA, er, bit of a performance shock and with Avon ZZR tyres (THE worst in the world) a real handful at times..
4: 2nd Scoob, this time an Sti3. Not sure why I sold it really, but got a good price at a dodgy time so went for it. Nice car, standard apart from wheels
5: Evo 4, frenetic, but I am afraid to say, I found it rather dull and soul-less. Handled better than the Scoob when caning the nuts of it, but apart from that, a less well-rounded package in my opinion.
6: Sti 4 Type R with Blitz induction and a full PE exhaust - dynoed at 313 Bhp - sonic heaven and the fastest car I have yet owned - I love it!!

What next?

This was my '85 Cav SRi, back in '91, complete with new front end after I'd written it off in a 'coming together' with a Bedford van! It was fitted with beautiful pimp-tint windows, and if you could see the rear end you'd be able to marvel at the absolutely super Peco exhaust! ...Things you do when you're 18 eh?! Hehe!

Here's another one for you.

My 1984 Toyota Celica 2.0 XT Liftback, it was 1988, I was 18,
and insurance was cheap(er)!
What do you think of the two tone metallic gold/brown paint job?
they don't make 'em like that anymore!
It was a great car though, you'd think I'd look a bit happier
about it, miserable git!

Will try and get some pics up soon.

2000 - 2002: 1976 1.1 Mk2 Escort, never got to drive it on the road due to not having a job thus not being able to afford insurance

June 2002 - November 2002: 1977 1.3 Mk2 Escort. Sold yesterday for £750, but did make a profit on it. Great car to drive, will buy another Mk2 (or maybe Mk1) in June when I have 1 years NCB. Sold this one due to not having a garage to keep it in over the summer + was not worth spending money upping the power/looks etc as had a few faults anyway.

November 2002 - June 2003 Not decided yet, looking for a ****, low cost motor for use over the winter. Probably end up in a 1.1 Metro (Mum had one a while back, have driven one so know how bad they are).

Cheers, Greg.
