So you don't celebrate christmas or birthdays or Mothers day or Fathers day either?
to some degree. But not presents fot kids etc. (None of my own) I find kids these days so greedy etc. I prefer to buy people presents when I want. Its more genuine .

I buy family, friends,gf things all year round but obviously celebrate b'days, christmas etc too. Valentines is supposed to be romantic i guess and as we eat out 4-5 times a week usually, having a romantic night in with a lot of effort put into it seems a bit more special

Oh well hubby will be making eyes at the telly then as arsenal are on. Think I'll have a nice relax in the hot tub with a nice big glass of wine and Gordon Ramsey lol.
My god, you guys need a excuse to be romantic !! valentines is a suckers game. A woman would think more of you if you did these things because you wanted to. Not just because society tell you to.
I agree 100%. However...
I've bought her an iPod Nano, and I've booked a table for us, my mate and his missus at a decent Thai restaurant.
Result - I can have my decent iPod back and she won't moan, plus I can take all the $hit like R&B off it again. I can also have a good chat with my mate, a nice meal, and the birds can natter away and be all happy that we made an effort.

agree with you there and so does the GF. Last Friday had a meal and went to the Theatre, stayed in a hotel overlooking Tower Bridge, Valentines we'll be having a nice meal at home and some wine.
We wont be paying for an overpriced Valentines special anything.
Well the G/F has asked me not to get her a card or buy any flowers, and just make a donation to the RSPCA
Good man, and good missus
Me and my missus are doing nothing. If we want to do something romantic, we do. We don't wait for a commercial day just so other people can cash in and act like sheep. If you fancy doing something nice for your partner, just do it, don't wait for valentine's day
