But you can do that with a base model, without spoiling a special edition that has an increased value because of its rarity. Am I speaking a foreign language, or is there an arrogance in scooby owners that overtops mine by a considerable margin?

How in the name of Quentin Crisp's pile ointment am I being a troll? I'm simply presenting a point of view, inviting responses and refuting them as I see fit! I honestly believe I'm in the right, and your only contribution is to lob an unfounded insult in my direction! Say something constructive that adds to the discussion, or bog off, you troll.
Oh, and a prognosis is an assessment of what is likely to happen in the future, not an evaluation of my personality at the moment. .

There is a P1 that exists with an STI8 scoop on it, and those 'orrible headlights with the twin apertures on them. Why? Shouldn't these owners be dragged out into the street and tarred and feathered?

I must agree with Bubba, but some people do need something extra to impress the little one's outside Mc Donalds who dont know its a special edition in the 1st place. Most 12 year old's dont know the differance between a 22b or a P1 but they will remember the one with all that cr*p written on it..

cos i dont care what people think. as mine is totally factory std apart from zost and filter, still got original wheels !! ...not many can say that about a 12 yr old car !
as for special editions being ruined i tend to agree... leave them as exactly that, special !

No I don`t have a blue scoob with gold wheels (you can view my Scooby by clicking on 'View My Scooby' ), but if I did, it wouldn`t be 'stickered up'.

have to agree with Bubba all the way on this one.
If you are going to change a limited edition. Make a realy good job of it just like Mr Fudpuker.
I think keep all the bits that have been pulled off, wheels etc in a big box in the gararge - so they follow the car about when it changes ownership and it can always be returned to its origional state at somepoint.

I've got a thread going in Was It You about an RB5 I spotted today in Bridlington absolutely trashed with stickers and ill-conceived styling mods. I've just been called a troll because of my concern. Now, I don't like styling mods on scoobs anyway, but I suppose it really is the choice of the owner whether to have them. But special editions are different, aren't they? Their value above book price for an ordinary scoob depends upon keeping them pristine and as authentic as possible, I would have thought.
Opinions, please.
