True... but not many cars are investments and if it floats your boat to doodle all over your car like Spike Like Mike did then so be it. However you perceive Spike, he is a bigger muppet than a few stickers can suggest!

Always careful to make sure the boot is fully open before removing the bodies mate, could end up with a nasty cut on the back of your head if your not careful

The way Subaru throws out 'special editions' I wouldn't have thought there were many of us here without one!!

I'm not a fan of stickers and bodykits personally - I never have been. When I picked up my '02 Prodrive style I had to change the rear lights back from what I thought were aweful lexus ones. She has got morette fronts, but I actually quiet like them and as they're offical subaru parts now Oh, and Prodrive alloys- but its "prodrive style" right? so they're allowed

The problem is that so many body 'mods' out there are so damn distasteful and show such total disregard for asthetics and design that it prevents an open mind when looking at the (very) few nice ones around.

So, how's the thread going, then? People still spoiling the special cars?

It might be simpler to have a bonfire of tenners in the back garden, you know.

Geoff, you're spot on with this thread although i don't mind a change of wheels and the odd tasteful bit here and there, i suppose aslong as you keep the original bits you can always put them back on when you sell it on to keep its originality

I still don't understand the aversion to modding limited editions? Why should I care about putting it back to standard? If people want a standard limited edition then they can buy them like the rest of us and keep it standard themselves....

I personally keep my bits as the resale of used parts is a little pointless IMHO.

I think there are a range of performance and styling modifications you can make without "ruining" a ltd edition Impreza. For example, my P1 ...

... has crystal lights, sti rears, defis, upgraded discs / pads all 'round, PIAA wiper-blades, H&S centre section, whiteline ARB and drop-links, de-badged boot ... all subtle but all enhance looks and performance IMHO.
