I thought the Robin Rocket was great... I won't complain about paying my licence fee for the rest of the year now!!

As for "Car Magazine Programme" - I think you'll find the reason the 30 minute old style Top Gear was scrapped was because nobody watched it. Now it draws millions of viewers every week.

Oh, hand on - we'll get the whole "BBC2 is aweful now its appealing to the lower classes! Where did ones fine art programming go? Can't possibly have programming on BBC2 drawing more than 10,000 veiwers" next.

Damn, missed it!!

Anyone know when it's repeated??

My two cents: I like it, although I do acknowledge that these days it's more about the presenters and the stunts than the cars. I do find it very entertaining though, so I don't have a problem with this.

Realistically, we have to accept that the old style of TV car mag wasn't working; viewing figures reflected that. I would, however, be sad if there wasn't at least one feature in the show that consisted of a proper review/group review of cars. So far, with the exception of the USA episode that hasnt been the case though!

130 per year no adverts Vs 650 per year sky with adverts (full package)?

Top Gear can do what ever it likes! Top program.

Motoring magazine show with Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Hand (sic) on a minute, nobody watched it? You're having a laugh mate. More people buy the Sun everyday compared to the Telegraph, that doesn't make the Sun the better paper. And you're right, there is a massive dumbing down of all the gov't controlled channels, not just BBC2. Unless you're buying a new Ferrari or like watching 3 middle aged idiots faffing about then Top Gear isn't worth watching anymore, maybe even aweful (sic).

How much did it cost??? who gives a monkey's!! Have you any idea how much it costs to produce the half baked sitcom cr@p we have served up to us each week????

Top Gear - excellent value for money - way funnier than anything else on TV right now!
