Well, this is an interesting thread. Not sure how such a straight forward question by Gutmann could turn into a pathetic conversation.

I too have been thinking about selling my car (02 Sti).

Good points:
Love driving it
Son loves cars, and thinks dad having a Scoob is brilliant
Go to Le mans every year in it and its great to participate in the atmosphere rather than simply watch.
It fits the family in, has a boot and yet still amazes when you push it

Bad points
Effing expensive to run
Have to think about where you might be parking for safety
Money could be spent on more holidays or more necessary stuff

Not sure what to do though. Selling would be practical, but owning it is a pleasure I am not sure I could live without. May get a run around and a Caterham which would probably be more economical on total costs.

Think I may go on a Porsche forum now and make comments like 'All Porsche owners are **** rots' !!!! Thats not my opinion as I don't know many Porsche owners, but having read this thread, it seems like the thing to do !!!!!
