Let’s talk about evolution (not of the car variety)
In order for anything to survive, it must evolve. Language is no exception. Like it or not the English language is constantly evolving. This new and annoying abbreviated text language, and of course the unforgivable Americanisms are all part of this progression.
If all people were of your opinion, shorthand would never have taken off.
Language is a form of communication, people communicate in different ways. The world would be quite dull if this was not the case. Change should be embraced, more so if it cannot be avoided, otherwise a person could develop evil pet hates. That's got to have a serious impact on a persons quality of life.

No person should pass judgment on another they've never met, period (is that an Americanism, does it make your blood boil?) but especially not based solely on how they communicate (especially when it's in their second language as it is mine).

I admire your loyalty to your mother tongue. It's something I can certainly relate to.

I value all advice, but choose to listen to only that of any value.
Perhaps next time you could package your advice less in the form of a jibe.

Thank you for the education lesson, I'll do my best to phrase my next opinions and advice a little better and hopefully so that they aren't misconstrued so much as a personal attack.

Whilst I understand what My Bad is meant to mean, it grammatically doesn't stand up as a meaningful phrase. I understand evolution of languages and the nuances that occur with time, my teachers obiously did a good job of ingraining English grammar into me, which is why the phrase sits so badly with me

Change for the better should be embraced, but that's a very subjective opinion of what is better. I'll certainly not be embracing the introduction of vehicle tracking and paying per mile as I don't believe it's a change for the better, but that's straying further from the original point than we already are
