River Cottage have long since done that - Hugh treats his pigs with respect and compassion. Great bacon too!
Watching that bloody clip cost me a lot of sleep last night and I'm still reeling from it. Reading my daughter a bedtime story about Sam the Sheep I could still see that last standing terrified Merino sheep in that slaughterhouse before having its throat slowly hacked, with no stunning beforehand.
I've sent PETA a few quid and will continue to buy free range meat from local Welsh farms. I wish I believed in a God and that he invented my meat slashing canine teeth for a singular purpose. I'm feeling a bit hypocritical at the moment...
