Just one other thing I only chose the focus for 3 reasons. It was cheap on the insurance and it looked nice and went well. If It was upto me and I was single with no kids(wife doesn't want another scooby) I would have a new Sti hawkeye but trying to get insurance is like banging my head against the wall. Wife has put her foot down aswell and wont let me have one, I had to compromise and get the Focus but I dont regret it but has said I would snap a Scooby up in a flash. Darren

That's 3 things.

Bloody hell, how much is the insurance on a Focus that you've modified to 240BHP?

lol.

its a volvo engine. its 222 bhp group 17 insurance and not as quick to 130 as my 2.5 wrx wagon.

its not miles away but once in front the st doesnt pass.

play with one regularly!

cheers and safe driving.

Well that's useful performance then[/QUOTE]

Can't argue with you there Morty as my RA is only geared to 120mph i wouldn't stand a chance either but i can tell you one thing the ST would be still trying to get traction by the time i hit 100mph in a sprint race.

Just messing Martin like i said i think the Focus ST looks a nice car but as Norm said you can buy a monster with £19000. As long as u enjoy driving ur car thats the main thing.

Not one to exaggerate and not a massive fan of these kind of posts but seeing how I had a little play with one of these this morning then thought I would comment.

Not in a month of Sunday's is this car any match for a scooby in anything other than a straight line. O.K so my classic is mildly turned (2.2 Close deck forged engine 300+ Hp) but seriously ...........................

The chap I was following was trying to straighten out every roundabout he went over ( he went straight over, not around ) even with me keeping in my lane and watching him slide his *** all over the place I still could have gone round him, in the end I just pulled out in third gear and went past him like he was going backwards And judging by the look on his face he couldnt have been trying any harder. Im sure against a standard Scoob in a straight line it would be pretty even, but how often do we drive in a straight line, I would love to see one being driven in anger down a country lane

Has scoobyshep said the ra is in a different league, Im talking std for std ive test drove the wrx 2.5 albeit the saloon and it was nice but would have to go for the sti 2.5...

The wrx wagon that was behind me at the time was an 06 plate 2.5 and at 140mph he was not keeping up. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have kept with him if it was a twisty b road but it wasn't it was the m62 coming down into Leeds. The impreza wagon I had 3 years ago would have raped my focus but it was modded. I dont intend on doing any thing to this apart from what is on at the moment - cat back s/s exhaust and the k&n panel filter it ran 236bhp with just the panel filter so should be about 240bhp with the exhaust????

Any way enjoy your cars and hope fully I will be back in a scooby very soon.

Should have checked his scoob out, I thought he was talking about a classic.
