Whats the most expensive flowers?

Something that he'd have to get in for a customers order rather than the run of the mill stuff?

The flower shop next door had its own parking space there as well,
but as the pizza place was closed during the day the flower shop staff would also use the pizza shops parking spot.
(I didn't know this at the time)

So on the day, I parked my van up at 7:30am and started work.

Around 9:00am the flower shop owner is screaming at me to move my van out of HIS space so he can park up - only he used more colourful language!

I politely pointed out the space belonged to the pizza shop and I had the owners permission to park there.

This made him furious and he was ranting and raving at me like a man possessed!

So using language that he would understand I told him to
“Get the f*ck out of my face before I rip your head from your shoulders and **** down your throat, please”

His last words to me were “I’ll f*ck you up for this”

Being somewhat smaller than me, I laughed at him and went back to work and thought no more of it until now!

It's got to be him don't you think?
Sorry but thats so typical of builders (nothing personal) my company has a marked and signed space for unloading lorries and nearly every feckin day I have to go out and ask one building firm or another to move their ruddy van, oh and BTW I am only 5'9" and they still move

I was parked in the Pizza shops own space under the instruction of and with the full permission of the owner.
I was therefore fully entitled to park there.
I was NOT blocking anyones access.
I was not the ar$e causing the problem.

When it's your own £20k+ vehicle with your own £10k+ of tools inside, you want to park as close to where you're working as possible.
Occassionally this may cause a temporary inconveniece.

No offence taking, I was simply pointing out that in this case "the builder" was not at fault, but I'm sure the flower power guy will tell ya a different story!

I'm not going to dump rubbish in his parking space as that would be fly tipping and anti social as well as being illegal.

Prefer to order a shed load of expensive flowers from him fo now, if I find out whats pricey!?

Try not to go too pricey or specialised - otherwise you may find he asks for a deposit or all the money up front.

So, any chance it's rental property related, rather than the flower power guy?

yes its quite scary what powers they have and the fact that the law of the land 'innocent until proven guilty' doen't apply to HMRC who apply the 'guilty until YOU prove YOUR innocence' tack with investigations. I know these people have a job to do but they are sub-human zealots!

pocketful of weedkiller and casually slip small amounts in each of the buckets that the flowers are watered from.

word of mouth is good, flowers lasting a day or 2, word should get around

Don't believe for one minute it's a tenant or ex tenant, I've always got on well with them - They're always pleased that I've called to the property straight away after any fault or problem has been reported.

Have been doing a lot of thinking over the last 24 hrs, and after chatting to my wife I'm contemplating closing the buisiness (but still doing the maintenance work for wifeys properties in my spare time) and getting a regular type job as an employee.

I worked out that, after paying all of my overheads(more than you think) I'm only on an average £15 an hour

Hardly worth the effort, I can easily earn that without the hassles of running a business.

I've had a good old tax inspector in, they gave me 2 weeks to get my stuff together to present to the inspector..

I tell you what, my heart was in my mouth for those 3 hours.

Eventually got a written warning for 2 incorrect vat returns (£102 difference)..went nuts at my accountant for cocking up later that day!

Mind you once they've been usually they dont return for a very long time This kind of thing puts you off running a business at times, going back to normal employment looks so tempting from this side, however being a CEO does have its treats
