And you lot fell for it. I spoke directly with him and it was "wrong" from the start. I aslo spoke to TypeR about my concerns. The guy had so many excuses not to do a meet up.

i knew something didnt seem right!!!!!
i got a text on monday saying that the first person had let him know so was i interested so spoke with him and it sounded a bit strange as he said it would come to me through DHL which his brother works for so I asked if it would be insured against it being lost and he said not really as it was a favour that his brother would sneak it in to system!!!
then he said he would check to see if it could be insured and get back to me.
I went up to derby to pick a car up and i get a text to see if i could pay the money to him by western union (which i was advised to stay well away fom) as he didnt carry much faith in the postal system.
I rang on tuesday and said give me your bank details and i will pay the cash into your account but the reply i got was that he didnt have any bank details on him and again the best way was to pay by western union. thats when i decided to stay well clear as there seemed to be this real hurry to get the cash.
What i cant understand is if someone had already paid cash into your account why were you still trying to sell it??????

what proof do you have of where he lives? did you get to see a pic of a utility bill etc ? dont tell us you just paid the money?

all i can say is when dave gets his then it will be a different stoy as he can tell and crabby just another time waster. 4 options he had on how to send not 1

more excuses, i'll say sorry when he gets his kit, until then this is completley dodgy way of selling, if you are selling a legit item then you best learn to sell properly, people who are trying to give you money are running to the hills cause of how you are selling ie. badly

I had some pm's with you etc. I must admit I walked away from the idea of buying from you because it didnt feel right. But ones thing for sure the buyer will let us know. He is as much to blame as yourself. Sure if its all "chicken soup' then he has a good deal. But he took one hell of a chance.

Got to agree. My initial temptation was replaced with "too good to be true". You could sell this unit on ebay and immediately return a profit hence my "offer" to collect. TBH I'm miles away from Norfolk and would never have gone down but I was curious as to whether the buyer would give the opportunity for someone to see the goods before they parted with the cash. If he made an excuse my thoughts would have been justified...........

In any case tarmac if you are genuine apologies for doubting you and Dave I hope you get what you paid for.

I hope it works out for you mate, I offered to pick it up even though its a 2 hour drive cos I didnt trust him.
I have sold many many things here and never have a pulled a fast one, it just sad to take advantage of people here.
If we're all wrong then im happy Dave gets it but its just so dodgy.
