It's pants mate.
I had a look at those and decided in favour of a MY01 WRX
The official excuse is it was too impractical etc etc.
The real one is I couldn't really afford it...
Personally I think they look great, miles better than the old ones.
Still what do I know I like the MY01 too...
Anyway hope you like it as much as I like my MY01
Cheers

The rake is now up for sale on a first come first served basis.
Just been valeted and had a full service. Genuine one owner rake and in excellent condition. Owner upgrading to "A Magic Doorbell Playhouse" for xmas, so has lost interest in the " be like daddy" gardening kit.

How's it going? Haven't seen you for ages. You've still got to give me a run in your car (I'll even settle for a run in the EVO).
Got a new car myself as well. I traded in my Terzo and got myself a P1. Not sure what it's like cause I haven't picked it up yet. But I can't wait.
Whilst on the subject of the P1, I'm looking for a bit of advice. Remember that Induction Kit you sold me? Well I'm thinking of putting it on the P1 along with a mongoose SS (decatted) full system. The dealer said it wasn't advisable as he thinks it's going to "modd it" too much and risk blowing it up.
I'm not sure and don't want to risk it but is he right? I thought what I want to do is a "mild" modification and should be alright.
Any response would be much appreciated.
Cheers

totally agree with you VMAX, i think some people try to kid them selves thinking that any subaru or EVO old or new look nice ? they don't.
gordon
you should be able to fit the filter and the exhaust on the P1 no problem. they will give you a good power gain so are you taking your P1 on track . i have done most track days at knock hill this year, next time just comeover and ask for ride

Anybody who slags of the look of this car obviously hasn't seen one in the flesh: the flared arches, the slippery nose....AAAARGH, gorgeous. well done mate. I test drove one the other week and was very impressed. still prefer the scooby warble and found the ride very harsh but ultra pointy steering was amazing. can i suggest your first upgrade- Porsche/movit GT3 brake kit. Blows the brembos away. the EVO 7 entered for the "nurburing 24hr" has em fitted. check out

hi matt
i totally agree with you it looks very good from the front as the wheel arches and the head lights look the business. i have seen the movit kit and i will see how the brembos do once i have bedded them in and i have done some track days . i do miss the scooby engine sound but my wife does not .
and the quick rack steering is tremendous me thinks

Sam,
What's gone wrong ? I thought you loved your Scoob? When I saw a thread the other day saying that you were waiting for the new car, I thought it might be an STI...but an Evo!!...you're not going to run off with John Phillips are you ??
Anyway, respect, if I was going to purchase again this year I would be mighty temped for an Evo aswell..good luck

I think it would look much better with the 18s on. I saw a few of the first ones in at Oulton, along with an STi7 in black. STi7 looked too high off the ground due to the wheel clearance, EVO7 looked kind of unbalanced, almost like the wheels were 15" or something. Don't really remember thinking that they were particularly large cars though. My fave looking EVO to date was blowdog's 6 before it needed "replacing" with the Mak.
Still, stuff looks and just enjoy the ride. Good philosophy to get you through life and a friday night at the local nightclub :-)
Lovely car and I'm sure most people would love the experience of driving one. Not practical enough for me as a day-to-day car (need a wagon) but I bet it is a blast to drive.
When my 6 numbers come up...

thats a lovely car mate - same as mine! But Ive had it 4 months done 5000 miles. Forget about uprating the wheels -that can come later. What you want is a full exhuast system, de-cat and induction kit - the noise if FANTASTIC and it makes a good 300+bhp.
Looks wise - I had a uk scooby for 3 years - never got one comment. I had an old fart the other day knock on my window and shout "what a beast!". People always approcah you in garages saying nice car blah blah and even had one nut case take pics of the car while in a garage forecourt! But so what - I still think the car is a bit ugly - but people dont buy evo 7s for the looks - they but them to drive them full stop.
Hope you enjoy the car

i had a great time with my scoob. it was awesome when it was running properly. after mysecond gearbox though i was too scared to drive it i lost faith in it as i had it in the back of my mind that i am going to break it again. the sti 7 was also an option but i did not want to wait for starter and i wanted something a bit more exclusive
ANDY
cheers mate, i actually like the looks from the front, it is that rear spoiler that just does not complement the boot at all me thinks. i have already got the bigend bolts and the cat pipe done form new i am looking for a boost gauge and an induction kit next though.

Lo Sam
I am glad that u also agree with me about Alan. He's no been the same since they took his baws aff. He must take his daily dose of tranquilisers when he get's up in the morning though, the dementure has set in early with him,I really do pity Clare though.
It was a pity i never saw u today to see the car in the flesh,i dare say it wont be that long though.
