Bottom Left of the picture you can see the Treacle Pudding tin, when they say not to let the pan boil dry they mean it. Luckily, I was asleep on the sofa at the time of the explosion, anyone in the kitchen at the time would have suffered severe sugar burns. Cleaning it was not an option, ceiling, tiles and work surfaces were all replaced. The cooker was in a bad way as well.
