I was under the impression that with specialist ECUs the AL could be made to be "mild" and although not good for turbo life, won't kill it instantly? Especially if you could turn it on and off. Just use it now and again?
Lot of money to get pops and bangs etc but I want it too
edit - would you also need a DCCD box in order to get a scoob to drift like that?

Cant remember price 1400 ish i think. Turbo is a standard Version 6 Type R one. Mileage 45000 usage if its Sunny It does get used in the Summer on a serious note and the Anti Lag does get used mostly for fun.

I've had anti-lag on my car for must be at least 10k miles, (3 years )
No problems so far with a TD05 20G, but it's quite mild but i only really use it in tunnels and my favorite back roads

Thats exactly what I imagined my reasons for wanting AL. Mild map but with the right noises. Also run the TD without a DV and get the rally chirping noise?

I've got launch control mapped into my Ecutek @ 4500 rpm
Going in for another re-map next week so if you can put a slight anti-lag on which you can switch off i would be very tempted!
360 bhp with twin scroll and anti-lag

Bore wash?
I'd be down for another remap tomorrow if it was available without any major side-effects.

Doubt any of the above can be had without side effects.
So thats 2K on the GEMS, 2K on DCCD (be rude not to IMO) and 2K for the engine mods to make it worthwhile.
Best start saving then

It wouldn't be switchable then so would always be like that. Expect short plug life, bore wash, soot deposits on turbine wheel and exhaust valves building up from extended operation.
Plus the likes of GEMS will give you a noticable vacuum reduction when used, purposely messing up combustion won't do anything positive but make noise. Just another version of an electronic dump valve on an N/A car really.
