Sky News: Boozy Pedalo Rescue Claim
As usual the England team treating it like a jolly up and a free holiday Time the English cricket authorities put some strong heavy handed characters in the England management set up, people like Bob Willis, Ian Botham and Mike Gatting would certainly put the wind up these party goers and instill some discipline in them.

Phew at last the first "proper" round of the world cup has started...... started to get bored of the mickey mouse games.
Unbelievable that Pakistan AND India are both out.......
Love this quote from the BBC live text commentary
"there are 10 ways to be out in cricket, possibly 11 if you include 'being Ian Bell"

Is it just me or does anyone else think he is enjoying the limelight a little too much ?? his stroll about with the Sky news reporter before sitting casually down on the steps having a chat, always reffering to Bob Woolmer as Bob, I think he is rather star struck at the moment.

Just checked the super 8 table. I thought the match currently going on with Ireland was England's first at this stage of the tournament.
BBC SPORT | Cricket | Tables
Who has beat England at this stage of the comp?
Or is it something to do with coming second in their qualifying tables?

No one
If one of the teams you played against in the preliminary rounds qualified and beat you then they get two points and carry them through to the super 8's, as NZ did against us, that game is then classed as one of the 8, hence England will play 6 games against all the teams other than the one that went through from their group in this instance NZ, as for Ireland they beat PAK and went through with W.I. who they lost against so the W.I. started with 2 pts and Ireland nil.
I hope that explains

Fletcher has to do the decent thing and walk the plank after the tonight, if we don't beat the Windies then we will have lost to all the test sides other than Bangladesh - shocking.

never shown any respect to the one day game, need to accept that in todays game its equally as important as test match cricket. Think the ECB dont realise that fans want to watch test matches and also watch the entertainment side of the game. Interesting analysis from the guys on Sky Sports, havent beaten a top flight team, other than Pakistan in the last 4 World Cups.

Time for Fletcher and Vaughan to go, they are both utter sh*te. How can you keep faith with your opening batsman who never scores runs. If he was not captain he would not make the team

I have backed English Cricket whilst we have been playing poorly since the Ashes, with maybe one or two moans but in the main I've stuck by them
Yesterday was an absolute disgrace, who have we beaten in this tourny, nobodies, the tactics from the start were a joke, what the hell was that about, you're up against the best one day side in the world and your playing safety cricket, Bell got out because he was trying to up the run rate because of the rabbitt in the headlights at the other end, no excuse for bell he has under performed as much as anyone else.
The only + from this WC is Ravi Bopara
The 1st test against the windies is in 3 weeks and they are ****e, we need to get our act together and fast, a total ban on all media commitments, get your heads down and get on with it, you were a disgrace yesterday.
Yep my patience has finally run out with the champagne charlies.
