mine generally varies. with working nights sleeping patterns can be strange. work 10-6am. usually get to bed for 7.30am, up at 2.45 to pick mrs up so whats that, about 7 hours. will do that during the week, then on a friday when im finished until sunday, il snooze on the sofa for 3 hours, get up at 10-11am, stay up until 10-11pm fri night. get up sat when i want, but then stay up all day and all night until around 5-6am sunday morning (for work next night) then get up around 2-3pm for 10pm start back at work. been doing that for about 2 years.
usually would like 8-9 good hours kip, otherwise im not usually worth knowing at home or work.

I sleep up to 5 hours a night usually, and have done since I was in my early teens. I worked off the basis that your brain is fresher in the morning so I would always get up early to do my homework. I've been getting into work before 7.30am all my working life too - it's the best time to come in as there's no phones going and muppets disturbing you with boring talk about what they did last night!

I don't sleep, I lapse into a temporary coma.
I normally have about 6 hours in bed during the week and normally less at the weekend. Sometimes I get less than 4 hours over the whole weekend - the joys of being a weekend warrior.

I always aim for 8 hours. If I'm honest, most of the time I achieve this, but I'm not always as consistent in a routine as I should be. Having no regular bed time and waking up time can be as -if not more- disruptive as not getting your 8 hours.
Sleep really is very important to the body and mind!

The body works in 4 hour cycles. To this end, you will find you are far more rested after 4 hours sleep, than you will be after, say, 6. The reason for this is that after 6 hours, you will be in "deep" sleep, and after 4 , you won't be.
Or something like that.
Obviously 8 hours for the win, but better 4 than 6.

I don't get enough sleep, maybe 6-7 hours during the week but it doesn't get any better at the weekends because I can't help waking up early because my body clock tells me too, so its a killer when I've been out on a bender and I'm still waking around 6:30 - 700am!!
I'm always tired, don't think a day goes by when I don't mention how tired I am!!
