AND YOU DONT PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN
QUOTE BLUTO 22B Had a trip to see my mate Ted today and on the return home I encountered a silver Audi TT. Stuck to my rear end and itching to pass something suddenly possessed me and I felt the urge to change into 3rd and push the accelerator to the floor. Didn't pull much distance at first, but as soon as we came to the first bend...whoooosh, I was away and he never caught me again after a few well timed overtaking manouveres

Does the truth hurt?
I must be having an effect on you due to your inferior literary skills. In the pub you may throw the strongest punch but at the end of the day the pen is mightier than the sword as I came to realise in business.
Go away pleb and allow the more articulate members to post something worth reading

You are a very sad person. Did Mummy lock you in your bedroom? I wish I had time in my life to go to the trouble of digging up a slice of Scoobynet history Plug your playstation back into the telly and go fight with Beowulf instead
P.S
In the "race" above I never went over the national speed limit.

Go away, just read Autocar.
They havent tested (or rated) a Subaru since 1999, these are the facts I am a subscriber and read EVERY issue.
They rated the S3 as high as they rated the MY99 way back then i.e. 5 stars. It takes a very special car to get that rating, 5 stars are not given lightly.
There seems to be a little bit of insecurity setting in from certain members who feel that they now own a "has been", particularly the bugeyes blobeyes and hawkeyes who are mere pretenders to the "original" giant slayer of the nineties. Buck up men, your cars are great, and will remain so, just don't believe that you own the last of the great performance cars because there will always be another waiting just around the corner with a giant chain saw to chop you down. The S3 is THAT car and no doubt Subaru will reciprocate with the next Impreza (hopefully).
Just edited to say the last test was a Hawkeye STI in December 2005. They hated the ride and couldn't understand what went wrong. The tests before that were a MY03 WRX, MY02 STI and MY01. None got 5 stars. I rest my case.

So this begs the question - why didn't you buy an S3 rather than some mid-range [not so]Special Edition[not that anyone would notice], [got some cool looking badges though]S-Line?
And Autocar - give half a star for how easily the seats fold down.. Wow - I don't think I can contain myself faced with the excitement of reading a review of the new Ford Galaxy!!!!

Listen buddy, I am NOT an Audi lover, I bought one to satisfy my current needs, but the morans who have infested what was once an adult forum have corrupted what my initial statements were which lead me to "bite". Okay so I became wound up and should have turned the other cheek but I don't suffer fools....
I still like Subaru otherwise I would have suspended my membership. I have been in Portugal for the winter and returned. Having been driving a beat up Seat getting into the Audi was revelation, but then again it would have been the same in my previous MY02 but after driving four miles I realised it was something more, something which cossetted me, a feeling of pride. The MY02 just didn't do that for me after being away from it. My initial comments stated that "have you tried any of the newer performance cars because actually they are quite good"
For those who remember Maureen Cleeve of the Daily Mirror posted an article in the sixties which mis-quoted John Lennon, stating that the Beatles were bigger than Jesus and that religion would vanish and shrink. What he ACTUALLY said was that popular music and the Beatles mean't more to the younger generation than the church. How his words were twisted.

The Golf GTI says classless (can be parked in Sloane Square but also in the nearest Netto without question)

They do have a rather unhealthy bias towards BMW though I will admit.
