MU00 Hesitating

Westgarth garage in Dalgety Bay for millers, noy the cheapest but local, can usually get him to do 3 for a tenner depending on his mood.
I play around with tyre pressures for road,a few I know run 35psi all round with 1 m8 at 28psi all round.just what ever suits.

what my rolling road figures do not tell you is that I got Jim to rev to 6500rpm gaining me 16bhp at engine, but the power@wheels never changed ,just as gutless as most of the other MY00's,Robertio's car p@w is well down

Presumably because of drivetrain losses increasing at revs you get a peak PaW figure before you get peak at the engine?
Quite happy for mine to go to 6500rpm as that is where I change up, so knowing what the power is there will help.

What is the matter with you lot on here ? I change at 7k maybe sometimes when I have the music on loud, it's on the rev limiter. Scoobies like it
When I was at Bedford last I was using the engine as a brake and noticed the revs at 7k plus a few times.

PS Merry Xmas, me getting pissed now

ECU arrived in the post but I will have to get it fixed some time next week. The dealer was sceptical about the plan but admitted that the ECU model numbers were different (checked on the parts data base) and couldn't understand why as they should be the same programming etc....
I'll post results soon.

PS I've been away, what's new?

Some dealers seem to know very little or not be able to actually think logically and I'm not looking for Spock (sic?) levels of logic. One tried to tell me a MY01 non - turbo would be an ideal replacement for a 194bhp 3.0 V6 Peugeot 406 as a cruiser and said it would be quicker in a straight line and oh just as smooth. Try comparing 0-100 in 19.4, 149mph, 0-60 in 6.9 with what, half a century! Mmmmm, very knowledgable. Service often seem just as clued up. After fitting an overboosting PPP they said run on NUL. I had just paid £1763 for extra power tuned on SUL! I then made them change restrictors for the next two hours. Another one set my rear tyre pressure to 33 and the fronts to 28 then insisted it was my foot pump which has less than 1PSI error against calibrated! Sensible. Run with your instinct Floyd and get your powerful car going! All the best with it.

Floyd,
Now let me think, same ECU, same connectors but a different part number!!!!! Why would that be ???? Hello, what are they dime bars at your dealers ?
Anyway, what's the drama with them fitting the ECU, it only takes two minutes
I have done around 2 k miles since the ECU change and still can report the improvements are amazing. Hope all goes well!!!

My dealer was worried that I was going to damage the car by putting in the older ECU! What do they know, eh?
If they are the same and the programming is no different, then I can't damage it can I?

Floyd,
What are they on about ???? How the **** could it damage the car ??? Just goes to show that some dealers don't know what they're on about!!! Idiots
Why not ask the dealers to fix it then ?? It down to them really!!!
T-UK reckons that you might not have to code the keys, so why don't you just plug it in and see what happens. If it starts and runs for more than 2 seconds, they it won't need coding.
