can you confirm atendance and number of cars you will need
but im trying to keep it down to say 18 max due to space if at all possible

John.. the organisation is luck rather than judgment...

OK people.. We'll quickly assess the situation and see if we can squeeze as many as we can on by giving John one of our famous Chinese burns... if that fails we'll have to draw the line at the 18 requested...

As per the rules, it's first come first served for members...
Non members will be put on the reserve list in the order they posted...
The list is for stand showing only... all member benefits are still in play if you're not on the stand..

Please note: As we are now limited in numbers, I'll make the the following note as we did last year and is voluntary... All stand cars will attract attention and will represent the club in the stand competition.. so please bear this in mind if you are on the list as Mick will be arranging them for maximum effect .. therefore the cars should be showable and/or be unusual enough to show the club in a good light.... if you feel this isn't the case or you'd be happy to give up your stand place for a car that will add a special attraction (Atom, F430 if they come..), then please let me know. Non stand cars should be able to park right in front of the stand as they did last year. We will discuss this more at the EOM and at the NBO meeting to be held soon..

If there's a problem with room on the stand for cars you can take my place if you want i'll just turn up and have a look round i did not know there was a limit on the stand for cars no probs..

 

Dave. There's no need to get arsey mate. It was made clear to EVERYONE that the situation for events which had restricted numbers was first-come first-served amongst paid up members.

The list has been up here for a while now, and there are already 20 names down.

As things appear to have been restircted this year then we'll just have to get to grips with it. The club has 40+ paid up members, obviously there will be some disappointments with regard to the NBO stand.

I'm sure the SMACS will be having similar issues.

NB... Just had a quick look and you've posted 14 times since this thread was started, plenty of time for you to have got your name down in the first 18?

I'm afraid all the big clubs are in the same 18 max boat. There's only seven large stand places available and 4 have gone to our goodselves, SMACS, LADS &, Ayshirescoobs..

There's bound to be a few drop due to unforeseen circumstances or people willing to give up a place in order to give the stand that special touch...

 

I may be responsible for removing 2 or 3 cars from the stand for 'personal' reasons.

(Can't say too much else at this time.)

There could well be a chance, therefore, that the first 2 or 3 reserves will get a place anyway.

 

I did not mean it to sound arsey in any way. it seems to me that if your not on the net. TOUGH well thats fine...once you have seen one scoob...you have seen them all.. anyway.. so will just enjoy the convoy there..... . Thats if im allowed. . ps. NOT BEING ARSEY IN ANY WAY FRIENDS WHO KNOW ME SHOULD KNOW THAT. (red card coming)

Is this a subaru stand
or are we having other "non subaru cars " attending ? on the stand

Chris.. as the club is multi marque.. I think it best to represent the club as a whole and not a single marque..

Last year we had the Atom on the stand and it rightly attracted a lot of attention (the Leon, though pulling 400ft Lbs, may have been too wayward for some tastes....).

Of course, the organisers may mark us down for this.. but as we have Evos, Atoms, Ferarri's & Si's gorgeous Type R, then we should seek to have a representative of the club's open arm policy and to emphasise the clubs superb social side.

Anyone disagree??

 

I'd have to agree Al, I think the club should have a representative of other marques, as we all know, not everyone has a scoob It'd be great to have either the Atom, or Ferrari on the stand . . or even both

there are members with subarus waiting to get on the stand
only if people drop out
if other makes of car take the stand !! what is the point ?

i agree with chris on this one,,,

but would just like to say ,,we have many more events that can have all the different marques on the stand,,,but i think the nbo is for subarus only.(but im not 100% on this)
im not biased as iv had a evo in the past and would of said the same then as i am now

 

What chris said its a great meet but a long one so me and matt will be in general parking i love all sorts of cars but this is a subaru meet

It didn't come out quite as I'd planned, but I'll qualify what I said earlier by saying that I did mention much earlier on in the thread that if someone wanted to pull out to let another car on that better represents the club then that's their decision..

It's simply my opinion that distinctive cars (regardless of make) would add that individuality to the stand..make us slightly different to the norm.. A stand full of WRX & STI's will be much the same as the next stand of WRX & STI's...

I simply feel the Teq, F430, Atom & the 'different' scoobs amongst the club would be special additions and would celebrate the club's uniqueness & character.. I see no rules saying that they have to be scoobs..

But the club rules are there... the top 18 are indeed scoobs, they represent the club, and will remain on the stand..

I'm not aware of us getting any more than 18 for the NBO.

It's on a first come first served basis so members from Martin & Scott onwards are basically on a reserve list and will be notched up accordingly...
