Can someone tell me how the RA detects laser if its plug and play ie where is the laser detection device??
I've two scoobs, both with hardwired units (B2 & Snooper - optional) and keep the Road Angel for hire cars

DCIG, can you explain how the RA plus is not hardwired but is said to have laser detectio. Where is the laser detector?

It has one in the front of the display, a small round smoked glass window on the left hand panel (for rear laser) and another long window in its back, above the power connector points (for forward firing lasers).

I did not know whether he was convicted or not. I also knew that the camera showed an error indication if jammed and reckoned that you could be stopped further down the road and caught out.

Whatever the state of the law etc. at the moment, I personally would not be prepared to risk having a jammer on the car at the moment. My Snooper does all that was asked by the original poster and is legal. Of course a laser speedcam will have a reading on you by the time the warning comes up so it is not able to save you in that situation. It could however give you an initial warning due to laser scatter from another car which could save your bacon!

Personal choice, plug & play is the RA, hardwired is the B2 but to each their own.

But ANYTHING is better than nothing

I think it looks fine, it just blends in nicely and took 5 minutes to install it, it also won the best buy award from Auto Express this year, don't waste hundreds of pounds when this does the job just as well.

Thanks Karl

DCIGH, I take it that the hardwired B2 is on full display? If so isn't it a major break in risk?
