Compare the new impreza to the Evo X.

Well tobe honest. Its a X between the rear end of a FOCUS hatch BACK, FOrnt end of a CHRYSLER with only the Flatfour and drive train retaining the Impreza rally breed. I hope Prodrive can come up with a more sexy and Agrressive Alternative to Combat Mitsu's Sexy Evo X. And yes i prefer the EVO 10 over this new monstrosatiy.
Sorry for the long post.
Oh did i mention theres going to be NO MORE WRX. Just the top of the range STI with the new MY08!!

LOL very funny
For me the new subaru looks like an everyday ordinary car, a fusion between a bmw series 1 and some other hatchback. Even more, in the engine bay the intercooler looks quite small(from which I conclude low top end speed) and I wonder if the handling would be still good My only hope is that there will still be a sedan too.
The evo X on the other hand looks fabulous. I think it is the best looking evo, very aggresive and sporty look. I'd certainly would choose that.

I liked the final concept for the EVO, the end result looks a bit compromised to me, kind of dramatic, aggressive and contemporary front but then rather normal and old looking everywhere else.
As for the new Scoob....don't know what to say really, though apparently there is a saloon version coming out the following year? I quit like the look of the saloon image posted, there is a hatch version of the same image that looks good too.
Don't know why they cant do something closer to the classic shape personally, its so obviously a Subaru just like a Skyline is so obviously a Skyline, why make another dull boring hatch that looks like countless other dull boring hatches.
Mind you just like the hawk eye grew on me....no scrap that this hatch will never grow on be its crp!.

A small hatch would be ace, imagine if pug had released the 206 with 4wd and a turbo. I'm all for it, and don't think for a second it'll look anything like those rubbish photoshop efforts.
Actually less people that like it the better, maybe it'll become more of a Q car again

It would have to be the EVO for me. Its not pretty, its not subtle, you feel its been designed by function(though I doubt this is the case) which is everything an EVO should be. It sums up what Japan does best IMO.
The scoob on the other hand has grown up. As much as we would like to believe, there is very little money to be made producing performance saloons. Lets face it the rest of the impreza range isn't up to much. I suspect Subaru are trying to tap into a bigger market with the WRX model being a halo car.
