baby josef edward koestler (little krout was given a german name)was born 22:36 on monday april 23rd
8lbs 1oz 22inches long....
not too healthy at first... he was blue and not breathing, he got stuck and had to be pulled out by the plunger thing. because of that, he had a blood blister on his scalp containing 1/2 the total blood in his little body, plus his lungs were filled with alot of fluid. besides the fluid in the lungs and the lack of blood to his organs, he was OK at best.... but he pulled through over the night, and he is doing pretty well now. if you know anything about APGAR scores, he was 0/6/7 so almost dead at first, then he came around... they score the babys based on 5 catagories all worth 2 points a piece for a total of 10 pts each time. they do this at birth, 3 min and 5 minutes. he scored 0 the first time... 6 the second, and 7 the third. he is doing fine now though
