What would you do to scum like this??

i live in donington and i was a track and paddock marshall there for 2 years while studying and the amount of crime there is astounding, my dads car was stolen right in front of the commentator tower near the pits on a major track day and no one noticed, security is allways minimal and its done by third party companies. the security team prior to this one only had 5-6 people to cover the whole grounds.

also if someone wanted that car it would have been far easier to remove it from the grounds and strip it, when i worked there the cars could be out of that place within 10 mins with no checks , especially if they did there old favourite and went out the market entrance (bikes usually dissapeared in the backs of vans). also they are groups that are known to the police that specifically target the track on major events and they always take the vehicle, seems strange they did'nt with this

I read this over on MLR. I can't believe anyone would have the cheek, or for that matter no one noticed!! I know some people work on their cars at events but to be removing all the wheels, intercooler side repeaters etc surely someone put two and two together.
The sad thing is it just goes to show that your car isn't safe anywhere.

This is what boils my p i ss, people saw this happening, yet did nothing.would an owner be removing his bonnet, lights etc at a car show in the car park, highly unlikely yet people just walked by,not even telling anyone, questioning it.
i suppose im used to it where i live, being a cocky/nosey git by asking if thats your moped ur dragging off with a locked chain round th ehweel then getting it offf them and keeping it till the police arrive etc,but still, people could got reg numbers etc for future help.
people are just ******,scared of being stabbed etc etc, if we all thought this day in day out we`d never confront anything wrong and the bad people would be laughing.
glad the spectators arent my neigbours.

I passed a car the other day, not sure if it was dumped, ( i reckon it was, as it was on the main road, where cars shouldnt be parked) and the white van was behind it, and they were having the wheels away ( theyd shoved a pallet underneath) ,,, phoned the bib for what its worth, nothing happened .....
now i know you cant draw conclusions......but....a local field gets visited by the lovable rogues, and a nearby bridge on a remote country lane looses its armco....
The bib were baffled who would want to pinch armco, and were making enquirys.....suffice to say no arrests were made...

You quite often seen people changing/removing parts at shows. I know when i've been to GTI International, people buy parts and fit them in the car park, then go and flog their old bits inside!
Maybe this is why it wasn't questioned.??
Poor Guy though, someone had some ***** to do that!

No words can describe that that is pure disgusting and evil. Think we should all keep our eyes peeled to Ebay for a while and hopefully catch the people responsible for this.
Doubt you'll hear from the owner probably too proud and embarrassed not that he/she should be, am up for a whip round to help out. C'mon mods get something set up, if the owner doesn't come forward then put wot ever is donated to charity.

I love going to these sort of events but TBH im getting a little bothered about them now.
For years the guys with the RS cars have had problems at National day, some a year or so back even had thier cars robbed from the padocks,RS500's and all sorts, one i think came from abroard to the show and his car got fooked about with also,he says he will come back but im not so sure, but still Donno do nothing.
This isnt the first nor will it be the last time that cars get fooked over at Donno.

have to say as well
when i last went to donny, probably about 10 years or so back?
people were having stuff nicked then, its not new, it happens everytime
hell i even remember stuff getting nicked from the billing aquadrome nova group event, which you would assume was all enthusiasts and not really a "show" ......
