I just cant wait to Try out , see in the flesh, the new WRX. Fairly certain I'll wait for a STi version.

It's madness.... which is the most common new-age impreza... it's the WRX saloon!

So, what are Subaru not bringing to the UK? The Saloon or the WRX.

Utter madness.

The 08 Impreza is just plain ugly, the wifes just said she wouldnt mind one as it looks like her Seat Ibiza , that says it all really.

To a degree common sense your Road Tax is worked out on emmisions fron new and not after, just PPP etc etc and tax stops the same.

looks a lot more like the focus and C4 to be fair maybe to balance up the WRC??

to be fair the new scooby looks as bland as the new focus and C4. The iconic scooby as we know it dies the day this launches...mark my words.

looks just like any other mid range 25-30k car on the market today.

Thats wot i'm wondering..... is it still 4wd. There is no mention of it being fwd is that because subaru will just assume that everyone will expect a 4wd car.?

I fink it looks like a ferkin focus and theres no way you'd get me in one of them

I've been loyal to Subaru for over ten years and 3 imprezas but this september i'm defecting to the dark side

evo x or even a tt3.2 (for the flappy paddles cos knees knackered after years of heavy scoob clutches)

But defo no scoob if thats how theyre gunna look (or should i say focus clone)

I thinks its ok.And when it comes here, seeing it in the flesh,i am sure it will look better.Interior looks decent, and theres more room inside which a bonus.Subaru have to sell cars so have to target a wider audience.Looks like they have done a few changes under the bonnet too, manifold looks like a totally new design.agree with what T5NYW says about tax and emissions, better to pay lower tax and get PPP latter : ) remember in the early 90's when the Impreza came out,I bet nobody said it was a beautiful oil painting. When the early turbo came out the reason it was a real Q car was because it was so bland.nobody would think it was such a effective car.
I am sure Prodrive should have some goodies for it when it comes here,so its not all doom and gloom.Relax peeps, don't get a heart attack over it.

By the way,I think the Tribeca restyle, also launched in NY looks much better, tougher and purposeful.something the Soprano's would drive : )

Well it looks like subaru showrooms will be very very quiet, and Mitsubishi will be getting alot of new customers, I have had two new scoobs in the last 4 years, but this is a joke, its a cross between a Astra and a 1 series bmw.
At least it confirms what we already know that Subaru don't listen to their customers, I really like the new Evo so I know where my cash will go.

The saloon versions dont look to bad, and Im sure when STi get there hands on the saloon version it would look quite nice with a big spoiler, bigger wheels etc!

But its that crappy Hatchback thing thats making me sick!! and 224bhp WRX hatchback with 4wd transmission losses, Is it really going to be any quicker then the new hatchbacks on the market at the moment(civic type R 200bhp, Focus ST 220bhp, Astra VXR 237bhp, new Cupra R 237bhp)
