A couple of bits turned up for the RS4 today,

Proline wheels, medium yellow inserts and a set of Pit Shimizu formula wets.

Im thinking that if i go with wets they will be better for running on a carpark than if i try and run my race slicks with additive.

The carparks are just too dirty for race tyres and they just wont perform.

So we shall see.

My truck is dead, was having a bit too much fun with the 2WD conversion.

It was snaking and doing doughnuts like nobodies business and the conrod let go

Nevermind, all good fun, and at least it won't cost £3000 to repair the engine

Just bought another truck, hopefully will be picking it up tomorrow

After seeing the abuse John's takes, I had to get a HPI Savage 3.5

Been tempted to get an offroader aswell. Bit more flexible where you can use them over the rally/touring cars.

Must resist!

To be honest mate, I don't know much about Nitro trucks, tuning them - yes as I've been messing around with nitro engines for a good few years now, back when you could buy a brand new OS 15 aeroplane engine from a model shop for £15! (in 1991, I bought a MFA high wing trainer plane, OS 15 engine and Futaba 4 channel R/C)

As for deciding on what to get next, I'm impressed with John's truck, yes the Traxxas maybe better, but I haven't seen one, and basically, my choice (rightly or wrongly) was decided on that merit.

Fair enough mate.. I just kinda got the impression you were heavily into your RC trucks etc.

You wont go wrong with the Savage as the availabllity and variety of aftermarket parts is masive.

Heres the REVO by the way. Notice the super clean layout and the cantileaver, inbound mounted shocks. If i was after a nitro truck.. this would be my choice.

No way man.. none of the 1/5th even come close to the MCD Racing setup.. you can get a full FG for £650..

the MCD is £900 without an engine.

When you look at the design and quality.. you can see why.

Central mounted engine for perfect 50:50 weith distribution, 4 wheel drive and adjustable torque diffs are just a few items that set this head and shoulders above anything else out there. Not even the Technokit comes close IMO.

WOW, that looks a serious peice of kit!!!!!!!!!!

I've always wanted a Tamiya Clodbuster as a kid, but got a Black foot instead, just love off roading and the Thunder Tiger SSK can't handle the abuse I give it, everytime I use it, I have to repair something or other
